If we are targeting interstate fringe players we should be looking at WA.

Need some batting strength and there is very little in the District comp.

Has junior boof retired yet?

Fringe players will only work if we have established batters already.
We need 2 genuine shield batters.

Hard to think of many shield quality batters that change states (not become shield quality at their new state like McSweeney)

Wade a keeper so he's a bit different
Harris
Hughes
McDermott part time wk

Feel free to add others

That’s the million dollar question I guess.
I’d be looking at Bancroft, Harris even Renshaw now their chances of playing higher are probably gone

Renshaw had his chance to come and reneged after agreeing to terms.

Harris and Bancroft ain’t moving states.

No one in their right mind would come here but we have to entice them somehow

Not sure I’d leave that to an interim coach.

I’m assuming the interim coach becomes the full time coach after an amount of time that makes it looked like they looked elsewhere

According to Tom Morris (FWIW):

"In a bid to end a 28-year Sheffield Shield drought, South Australia flirted with offering a deal to 36-year-old former
@ProteasMenCSA captain Dean Elgar.

Preliminary contact was made, but there was significant pushback from key figures such as Tim Nielsen & Jason Gillespie, who have since departed."
