There have been some real average debuts but yeah he didn't really set the world on fire. If Pup or M2 are good to go in Sydney I think it might be a sad night at the power plant

Bit hard to find replacements in form when there's the BBL being played, no one's getting genuine long form cricket exposure. In saying that, maybe Henriques could come in for Watto. Burns could go up to 3 where he bats for his state

Watto is not a #3s sprig.
He plays because he can bowl and they take his 20-50 each innings.

Shocking decision.

Big hour for SOS now. If he lasts till the close he will go along way to locking in a trip to England.

Do we still take a touring squad of 17 on English tours?

The bloke makes 30million a year. Not sure he will give a shit. You'd reckon Ashwin will bowl from one end though, he has looked likely today.

Maybe if Kohli fielded in his position instead of walking up and standing next to batsmen they might get through them a little quicker.

I'd love to see him get suspended but I reckon the pack of sooks would go home with him.

I appreciate the fact that he is a very good batsman, he carries on about respect, if he didnt carry on like a 1 year old who's mummy had taken his dummy away he might get some respect

Did in 2013. Expect plenty of Aussie players to sign as OS players with county clubs. Plus a host more to sign in the County premier leagues (top level club cricket) on big bucks to play 50 over games each weekend.

Yeah I know that and Im not knocking the bloke. Was just seeing what people's opinions are if he was to make fewer runs than we would like. I know he's a very aggressive batsman. Just sometimes I watch him and it looks like he's in for another big score and he gives his wicket up. That's the big difference in being a good batsman to being a great batsman. Knowing when to attack and when to leave.

How many other openers in world cricket average 49?

At a strike rate of 74
That makes him the most destructive Australian Test opening batsmen Ive seen

Compare this to Matthew Hayden the other destructive opening batsman Ive seen
50.73 ave
60 strike rate

David strikes 14 better than Matt
