Why declare before stumps day 3 ?
Why give the West Indie a sniff by declaring and setting them 393 in 2 days plus the 8 overs already faced ?
Australia is 1-0 up in the series
Why not bat to a lead of 450 , snuff out the West Indies completely and STILL WIN the match

Please disregard my comments if
There is rain forecast last 2 days
They want to get to England ASAP

averaging 131 in last 12 tests I heard

The pitches against NZ had a tad of green and cause of the overcast conditions the ball was hopping around
For is though I think they will go back to the drier decks where reverse swing will be a factor

They won't want them too dry or Australia will play 2 spinners plus have Smith and Clarke (if his back holds up). Anderson can't bowl a hoop down hill in Australia but on the English wickets and a Duke in his hands is a different ball game.

I hope I'm wrong but the English conditions will be a real test for him IMO.

Warner will be better for the hit while Rogers and Voges will feel as comfortable there as anywhere. If the ball swings over there what will Harris, Starc and Johnson do to them? If it's low and slow how will they get us out?
Frightening to think that we'll have to leave one of Johnson/Starc/Harris/Hazlewood out and the next group include Cummins/Pattinson/Bird. Heck, our 3rd best X1 would boast a handy bowling attack. I don't remember a time we had such strength in the fast bowling department.
