I would be quite happy with Voges going, but I thought his time would have passed, so I got over it (subtle memo to Brag Hodge)

Hodge after scoring his 5000th T20 run (first player to do so)
"I am just very happy," Hodge told ESPNcricinfo. "I have made 10,000 plus runs in Sheffield Shield and 5,000 in T20s, means that I have performed well over the course of my lifetime."

Better than not playing any cricket though surely?

They'll still play the warm up games before the ashes so i can't see the problem with it

Yeah they'll play on a lot of seaming tracks in a competition where your wicket is really valuable.

Depends. If you think T20's on Indian soil playing for the Mumbai Whocouldgiveashits is a good preparation for seaming decks in England over 5 days, then it is fine.

Me, I think its a load of bollocks when the selectors drop blokes before they get injured and then they go to India for a month to play this crap while they should be either resting or getting ready for England, or both.

CoverKing. Had a good look at Finch recently and you were right. The bloke can't keep the ball on the ground. Voges now looking a decent bet alongside Bailey. I'm a bit worried about Khawja's ability to 'change gears' as well as that habit of flicking at the ball again, through the air.

It's going to be a long painful series against England over the next year or so. :(

Completely agree.

I seriously think bailey, with his experience, leadership, and ability to make runs at the international scene, should be in our test team. He is in the best 6 bats right now IMO. Wish he was on the Indian tour, cause I can see him digging in with Clarke when the times are tough in England, which will be the majority of the time
