Before the C grade elimination final, Gepps Cross vs Kilburn this year, the home team put the score from the previous time the two teams had played.

What a psychological master stroke from the Gepps Cross Ewes. Baaaaaa.

Any word on what’s gonna happen with Gaza? Does it mean mitcham would survive and be in Div 4 if Gaza have to fold?

They've just signed Cabbage as A grade coach.

3 clubs in 12 months.

Amazing

If he bailed on Mitchell Park when the going was tough during pre season, how’s he going to handle Gaza?

History of deception and lying as well.. sure this is going to end well.

It's like when a couple start a relationship based on cheating with each other then down the track one cheats on the other and they are completely shocked and distraught.

Same as players that jump from club year to year, clubs take them on and then are in shock when all a sudden they have a mass exodus fall of players who were known to jump clubs.

You're a (premiership winning 8) ) coach whuffer
Would you go to Gaza with what they have in store?
I reckon Gaza would grab a drovers dog if it offered.
Nevertheless, history would suggest Gaza put their usual level of due diligence into the exercise
I'm surprised A Jarman didn't offer to save the club in their time of need

Given their predicament, I would've thought it's a tough sell for anyone, and the best option would be a club person internally to coach. Maybe a Paul Merritt or Shane Knevitt - someone who has or has had a long time involvement in the club.. and the best interests at heart.

They really need to get through the next 24 months regardless of the results.. and sadly that's half the problem - players and coaches expect results.

Yeah 100% with this.

First to concede that Gaza wouldn't have had much of a line up of coaches so weren't in a position of power.

But surely the number 1 credential for a coach at Gaza right this minute is someone who brings stability. 3 clubs in 12 months is as unstable a resume as you could hope for.

Maybe they see the scenario different to the general public as per their pleads of innocence but surely surviving like you said is far more important than any results they achieve.

I dont know Gaza very well but it could be an exciting gig if the committee accepted the predicament the club are in.

Chance to get players to the club for the right reasons, chance to blood some local youth and develop blokes, should be a free hit on results as they cant expect much, a chance to turn a whole culture. Even an opportunity to introduce a playing style/structures without the preconceived dramas the previous playing group might have.

Far worse gigs out there imo.

100% agree Bedge. This appointment just proves they do dumb things and it they are serious about saving their club then an internal appointment would be the way to go. Passionate and club people save footy clubs, like your good self. :)

Cab himself isn't a bad bloke but when a club is rebuilding, you want someone that's going to see you through the journey (as much as i hate that word)

Hoping he does the right thing by the club in their time of need and can bring them some success.

Given Eastern Park have won the D6 flag in 2024, and Gaza are struggling.. Ingle Farm will be happy to swap divisions next year. We will play D4 and Gaza can play D6. :D

Better yet, send Gaza to D7 and make Brahma Lodge play D6 lol.
