Yeah but not all of them winning - still a ways to catch up with a couple of Goodwood players, I'd imagine. Namely Nick O'Connell and I can't think of the other right now, Dempsey maybe? They're on 7 or 8 WINNING grand finals.

Dempsey has 8 winning D1 medals

So; I predict PAC by 3 points.

If it's that close, it'll be a cracker, but I think Princes will be far too strong .... 40+. Good luck to both teams.

Agree, PAC by 52. Been dominate team all season.

From what Brighton saw of the competition this year the 2 best sides are playing in the GF. The key for me is that PAOC has averaged 110 points per game to PNU's 80 so I think the PAOC scoring power gives them the edge. Plus I think the bigger ground suits PAOC more than PNU with the advantage of having just played at Richmond. PAOC by 20 points.

Balderstone was big for PNU on the weekend. PAOC have generally only been playing the one ruckman this year, will be interesting to see if they blink and bring in a second or back what they've done all year.

The interesting comparison is the 2019 GF. Obviously both sides have some big ins and outs since then, but equally have retained a lot of their core players.

In 2019 PNU got the advantage of a gale towards the South Road end to take a five goal lead in to quarter time. On any view PAC fought back valiantly to bring the margin to less than a goal (including with far more scoring shots) but the original jump with the wind is what decided the game.

Similarly in the Round 15 game PAOC smashed PNU off the park in the first half to get a margin of 8 goals at half time. PNU was good enough to pare it back to two goals or thereabouts before PAOC kicked away again.

Get the feeling that it's going to be a very important first quarter based on recent form.

I thought Baulderstone was just ok on Saturday after starting on the bench. He looked like he was playing injured, but was able to nullify Carter who is really important for Goodwood. Thought Jolly had more impact on the game when he was in the ruck. Cameron Giles is more than capable of matching it with both the Payneham lads. I assume he'll get some assistance from Will Dalwood. Princes have used Spanovskis as a second ruck for parts of the season, but I notice he didn't play Saturday. Hard to see the changing their side.

They've been putting big Baldy in the BPs all year (warranted or not).
Not fooling anyone [-X

For what it's worth I absolutely thought he was PNU's best on Saturday, until he came on Goodwood were dominant out of the centre.

A grade players at this level shouldn't get too concerned with the best players that go in the paper which of course is taken from what is loaded on Game Day. But they all have egos and pride and would still get annoyed if the Team Manager or Footy Director didn't load a genuine list a best players provided by the coach. Our post match awards are consistent with what gets loaded which takes away the risk of any angst from players, parents, supporters etc.

On Baldy - he was very influential in PNU's win against Brighton in Round 3 but didn't make the best players on Game Day that day.

When these fights come up the subjectivity in whether someone is best always amuses me.

Remember at least the 2013 and 2014 premierships the blokes who were adjudged BOG by the League were not given BOG by the club.

I'd wager in 90% of footy games you ask 10 people who was best on ground you'd get on average at least 3-4 different answers.

For a second there I thought Jack Trengove was going to be the unluckiest bloke since Jack Trengove didn't win the 2019 Margarey Medal.

Interestingly even count across the board. Probably reasonably accurate reflection of the comp as a whole

Well done Jack Trengove, Div 1 medallist. A bit tight in the end and personally what I saw this year he was a standout. Great player, awesome attitude and a team first player =D> =D>

Haven't had the chance to meet Trengove but he seems to be one of these blokes who no one has a bad word to say about.

Obviously a great player, real shame about his injuries at Melbourne. The talent he showed at Sturt as a 17 year old was next level. Get the feelings without injuries he might have gotten a Brownlow to go with his Keith Sims!

Trinny is one of the nicest bloke you’ll ever meet.
I’ve known him since his school days and his AFL days have not changed him one bit

I work in the same building as him. Not withstanding the above, there's only one option
