Haha sorry man, I had a few good ones but used them all up in the first quarter. By the time your 43rd possession came around low ball digs on your appearance was all I had.

Got an odd look from a teammate who missed a tackle on you when I said "don't be afraid to wrap him up, I've heard he smells great"

Still in the game with 5 minutes to go but Gullies took there chances. The most disappointing thing was Gullies players brought there own esky's in the change rooms after the game instead of coming in the club for a drink.

So no one went in for a drink? I don't disapprove of the players having a beer together in the changerooms after the game as long as there's some representation afterwards, it's only a 15 to 20 minute drive back to Pertaringa.

Correct, no one.

Call our President if you would like to know more. I'm sure he'll oblige.

Seems you do. I just asked a question regarding a report. You fire up easy. You say you've addressed problems then I witness something from the 80's.

I care very deeply about the standards of my football club.

Exchanging biased interpretations and heresay about an incident that hasn't hit the tribunal yet with anonymous internet trolls, I do not care about.

Do not confuse clarity with anger.

No Worries, I thought the Tribunal would have sat by now. Is it a Weekly thing or do they wait until they have a few cases to do? Serious question as we are new to this league.

I noticed a page on the league website about Guernsey Clashes. They listed heaps. Do many teams have different guernseys for these games? I thought Our's and Houghton's clashed. Is it up to the teams to decide on wearing them if available. Any Houghton Blokes think the same at our game a few weeks ago?

Wasn't too bad. A couple of spectators made mention of it, but I don't think any players had trouble.

Playing with 18 and no bench in the magoos against a very solid side was tough going. Felt some of the blokes had a dip and managed to hit the scoreboard - which didn't look at all likely at 1/2 time.

Couldn't stay for the As, was off to watch the second half of the Pear. Glad we didn't have any discipline issues, we've made some strong statements internally lately to nip a bit of a trend in the bud.

Did the guy who dropped one of our blokes off the ball with a cheap shot get any games or any action from the club?

Is this what you're talking about?

CF - regardless of what may have happened in another game that was mentioned in either the Div 6 or this thread, if a player gets red carded it is an automatic report and dealt with by the AdFL Executive as a pre-tribunal prescribed penalty or sent straight to the tribunal on a Wednesday night. The umpires have a Match Day app on their phones and Yellow Cards and Red Cards are usually submitted within minutes of the game finishing.

Your concern over what happened to this player and whether MP were taking their own action was presumably stalled due to the player being unable to attend the tribunal last week. In those circumstances the player can't play (which he didn't last Saturday) until he attends the tribunal. He has now attended and copped his whack. Interesting whether the 6 games includes the one he missed whilst waiting to attend the tribunal but either way he has received his punishment and MP shouldn't have to take any further action unless they feel the need to.

Probably not the sort of incident I'd be making jokes about but to each their own.

I wasn't there. Couldn't tell you if it was unreasonable or not.

I was making a joke about the notion of "trial by safooty" which so often occurs on here.

It's very easy to read a line on a report and make an assumption. Knowing the system pretty well as a frequent players rep, I can tell you that leaping to that conclusion is perhaps unwise. I've seen a report get 3 weeks and it deserved a life ban. I've seen a report get 4 when it deserved a yellow card. They do their best, but to make a judgement, you need to be in the room.

So given this one got 6, it was actually worth two life bans.[/joke]

I was just responding to a comment about MP stamping out this type of thing with "Strong Statements".
Unless they are repeat offenders let the tribunal sort it out

Or given another got 4 but deserved nothing, could be worth 2!
