Somebody from Parks is going to feel very bad tonight
Called a count late in the last quarter, and lost. It cost them a goal
dedja: Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Because Flinders called the count, and interrupted the game, and were wrong, Portland got a free kick and 25m, which was a shot on goal, I think it was Ross bament that converted, who was pretty good for Portland at CHF, after he orginally started at CHB.

It seemed like all the Flinders Park supporters were the ones calling for the count, I think they thought that Portland had too many on the field, as they only had two on the bench, after one of their players was carried off on a stretcher in the 3rd quarter and sat on the club side

Didn't play as well as last Saturday
He looked dangerous in the first quarter until you started double teaming him.
Parks bombed into their forward lines all day and didn't do their forwards any favours
Prior picked them off all day

Didn't know that rule. Poor decision by them, out of desperation perhaps

Seems logical, otherwise in games where there is no time on they would be having them every 2 minutes

Yea well Portland did seem to have the momentum at that stage, but still, Flinders were up by 8 points at that time with only a couple minutes left...

Actually it is a + 50m penalty against the offending team; not 25m

Portland are definately the real deal. Well coached and a very good football team to boot. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they went up to Div 1 after what I saw today

I think the crows lost their 19th man today. Ours was in the form of the Flinders Park team manager. Fancy calling a count with 3 mins and 20 secs to go. When they called it they started laughing as if it was a joke. Nothing has ever felt better. We are and have been written off. Love being on the train.

Perhaps the "smart" coaching staff would actualy count the players themselves before challenging. Doh.

Who you kidding. Saw a bit of the game today and Portland are a very average side who have got lucky. Heard they have won by 8pt, 1pt and 4pts. Should not have won today and should not have won the game against the Pride of the Peninsula in Round 1. Will be lucky to avoid relegation still. Will not trouble the good sides in the competition like PAC and University and TT Gully who are just behind Port District as favourites. Uni and PAC are the tough ones and still flying under the radar. Two fantastic sides. A lucky Portland who could easily be 0-3.
