No mercy cops more than his fair share of crap on this forum that might be why he is giving it back. Have heard nothing but how good districts were going to be all summer and flog Portland by 20goals. Very quiet on here now

On here from people not from Pt Districts or people posing as Districts supporters

There was one bloke in particular blowing up their tyres. Pretty good tactics if you ask me...

Problem is he actually thinks the crap he dribbles on here affects the result.

Yardy is probably pretty happy tonight

From the comments i recieved last night i beg to differ very muchly. I am not going to get into specifics about the game as it was yesterday ande move on but............! The decisions made against both sides were rediculous. Take the call when Upton called for the handball from the Districts player on the mark. The Districtys player thought it was one of his own and handballed it to Upton. Upton tries to snap it but the umpire called 25 on Upton. Terrible call. That was consistant across the board in my view. Guys from either side will cry foul but none so like acertain person whom is not able to handle the result too well i suspect but thats footy. Lucky to win i dont think so. Hope the 7am run went well ;)

Sound slike EP gave PAOC a run for their money. After all the talk of them loosing players and not having the numbers. To be as it has been mentioned about being 40 points down to end up falling short by 8 points sounds like a huge effort. Anyone at the game to give some insight?

I reckon we were up by about 6 goals at 3/4 time as well.
There was a 3 goal wind all day until the last quarter when it dropped off completely.
EP nearly ran over the top of us - 7 goals to 3 in the last quarter.
I reckon they kicked 5 on the trot and we then got our $hit together.
I must say, when EP turned it on, it was damn good footy to watch.

Not happy about what happened to us yesterday but this makes me a little happier. Well done Portland, no one gave them a chance.

I was afraid the Mail had got it wrong with the Port Dist./Portland result considering all of the pre-season banter about losses and gains of players, well done Portland

Good win by Flinders Park knocking off Adelaide Uni on their home turf. Uni moved the ball extremely well at stages and put their skills on display, but their downfall was at the stoppages where Flinders wanted the ball more and kept it going their way. Dodman looks like he will be unstoppable unless there's a few 6"8 defenders floating around the division

Good luck to Parks. Any win at Uni is a good win.

I'm tipping Rocket should start wearing a steel vest to ward of the steak knives that'll be coming his way

haha yea think he could use it to protect his ribs too.

Frustrating game to watch from my perspective. Districts skills were pretty average, particularly entry into the forward line. The umpires were very quick to blow the whistle, a lot of soft free kicks paid to both sides!! (Not saying it was the reason Portland won)

Portland were very determined all day, and too good. A few new blokes I didnt recognise. Draper was very good on Johncock, giving away 30kgs (I'd say), made it tough for him all day. Perkins was solid as usual, and did pretty well against a big body in Beeching; both of em rucked most of the day n woulda been stuffed by the end of the game! Miller was good when he wanted to be, but went missing for too much of the game. Wareing was BOG imo, kicking 4 in the first half, and setting the example for his side, was a bit quieter in the second half, not sure if it's because he changed his boots, or cos he was getting tagged ;)
Cochiarro was solid all day, as was Prior, who kept Catterall and at times Beeching pretty quiet. De Palma kicked a few goals at important times to stabilise Portland. Laslett's second half was very good, and a big reason they held off a late come back from Districts after they were 5 goals down at 3/4 time. Gein did an ok keeping Mcdowall relatively quiet, and Dickenson was ok on a wing.
Gates, Rosenthal, and Maddern were pretty good for Districts, trying hard all day. Too many blokes went missing for PDFC, and will be interesting to see if any/many changes are made this week.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Portland before Saturday, but think they'll win a few games at home this season, they play it pretty well!
Districts will have to put in a lot more effort than what they produced Saturday if theyre going to have a chance against Walkerville, who are appear to be in great form already!

PS great effort by Flinders Park, I did not excpect that result either. A bit surprised with their B grade result though, Adelaide Uni are strong in that grade, but Flinders were last year too, n are supposed to have heaps of depth.

was a great result for us saturday, one that not to many people expected, IMO Sampson was districts best for the day and was great in traffic, Beeching was good around the ground with some big grabs but think he copped a pasting in the Centre square were Perkins was amazing, Johncock was well held by Draper but still managed to bob up with 3 and is going to be a huge inclusion for Dizzys has the capability to have double figure games in this div. was a great crowd at the Dome. Dizzys probably outnumbered us which is a great effort by them with some good banter from either side, would love to see how many people, onlookers thought were at the game?

His own fancy fluro orange boots, which he showed me on saturday

They're those fancy Adidas ones that have the tracking device in it so it can tell him how far he's run throughout the game - but he didn't wear them in fear of exposing how far he didn't run ;)

It was my understanding he had to take them off as the device inside the boots was burning his feet trying to calculate all the mileage that was being tracked. Overload i suspect ;)

I heard Adidas recalled that pair because the chip in them had hardly moved since they sold them
