Hindsight is wonderful but crikey, the recruiters must hate looking back at these.

X Clarke picked before Dal Santo?

well done to payney and the EFC..outplayed us for 3 quarters..were desperate and wanted it more and for a young side i thought they were very composed and worked hard at the stoppages..going at 90% wont cut it when you play good teams and they are at 99-100%..we are certainly in a form slump but our early season wins have allowed us to stay in equal second position (with our B grade also equal second) and for our first year in division 5 for decades thats probably a pass mark at this stage..that can change without a return to winning this week versus trinity..

Watched Trinity v Lutheran on Saturday.
Trinity looked really good and dominated the first two and a half quarters, with the Dogs unable to find a match for Cotter up forward.
He was banging them in from everywhere.
However, for much of the third term, Lutheran dominated. The only reason they didn't take the lead in the term was due to continual turn overs at half forward. Some goals late in the term put them in touch, when beforehand, Trinity looked as if they were going to run away with it.
The final term saw Lutheran make the most of its forward entries to sneak the lead, while Trinity was getting plenty of I-50s but no shots on goal.
As in other weeks, according to the Trinity guys I was standing with, the last quarter fade-out was something that had been seen before from this side.
Matt Perry added a clutch goal to gain the lead back for the TOSers but the Lions were unable to hold off the Dogs, despite their opportunities.
The winning goal was a stinker (from where I was standing), almost as if the kicker stubbed his toe, and the ball trickled over the line to put Luthies back in front. But...it doesn't matter how you get them.
The result makes it very hard for the TOSers to survive the fall, giving AL a two game gap on them.

Biggest disappointment in the day for me was that Choof Edmonds did not have more of an impact on the game ;)

Guys, I've taken off the shot, not because of any potential action but just because it's not the type of shot we want to promote.

Also, had that been a shot of Cox and a raised elbow, others would be jumping up and down whilst others jumped to conclusions. - thx Lisa

Quality shot

One of our guys got a game for jumper pulling. I think there's precedent there.

Great win by the Eags on the weekend.

Also, worth noting the recent retirement of Sammy Harrison. Sammy's got a back problem that's resulted in him having an operation and ending his footy.
Having known Sammy, like his brother Colin, for most of his life, I can say that he's been a great club man and will be missed on the field by the Eags.
Probably the last thing on his mind, but I hope Sam can get along to the EFC's Past Players Day on July 5 against Trinity OS.

Very sad news, great bloke who loves his footy :(
Just shows you never know when your time could be up so make the most of it while you can!

I also wonder what would have been said if it was the Elizabeth player throwing a punch

Surely when the photo is on the League's Facebook site there are different rules though?

EDIT - I notice it was taken down there as well. Funny oversight in any event

Second EDIT - I think there's substantial hypocrisy in leaving up posts with allegations of violence against specific individuals in the text form but not allowing photographs of violence where there is certainly more "proof" of a violent act having taken place.
