Personally I think most of the new upgrades are a bit sterile, but Brighton’s complete complex is the best I’ve been in. Well thought out and feels and looks like a real league ground. Parking can be a bitch when all codes are playing home at the same time from 10 to 5. Small price to pay though.

PNU 10 goals over Districts. Proper football as opposed to the negative tripe employed in the previous two rounds.

Districts missing many and will be around the mark

Hey Jo, I notice Jolly was named best, but failed to kick a goal. Is he no longer playing as a key forward?

Baulderstone went down before half time which meant Jolly rucked two thirds of the game without a break.

Testament to the shape he's managed to get himself in at age 31 after 270 odd games of senior footy

Good on him. I saw him round 1 and he has certainly dropped a fair few kilos.

New clubhouse leader for the comp (pardon the pun(

Better set up than Rostrevor with proximity of bar/viewing area to oval. Still can't believe the council shelled out for three sporting club buildings on the same site

Council definitely floated a single clubroom like a Marion Community Club but the clubs convinced them that the existing set up of separate football/cricket, lacrosse and rugby was the only option particularly with the main spectator activity being all winter. Each of the 4 clubs is either the biggest or close to biggest (as far as participants) for their sport in the state. Building all 3 new clubrooms at the same time with virtually the same design and materials would have been a significant cost saver.

I live up the road and it is packed from Friday night through to Sunday. Rugby oval even gets used for junior soccer trainings, never mind how much the primary schools oval across the road is used as a flow on. Until I moved that close I never knew how big the lacrosse club was, even though its a garbage sport they get insane numbers through.

I'm not involved in any of the clubs, but I love seeing so many people out there playing sports. A very well done facility that incorporates the completely different sports extremely well.

If i'm driving home in summer, ill often pull over and watch an over

Gullies by about 5 goals over Uni. Pretty even contest for most of the day, but Gullies blew the game open in a 10 minute burst in the 3rd qtr.

Goodwood over ROCS by a couple. Best game of Div 1 I have seen in years. The 2 standout teams so far.

Think Goodwood played Prince Alfred OC. But agree they look the best two teams.

Brighton were too tough for too long. SPOC in the 2nd half got destroyed at the contested footy and it showed in time on during the last. I hear SPOC had a lot of younger blokes that should take a lot from that. Good game to watch...

Good to see some normality taking place in the top division again with 4/5 home teams winning, before round 6 only 44% of home teams have won.

Add to that, in rounds 3 and 6, three teams defeated opponents above them on the ladder, it happened twice in round 5.

The numbers spell out a great comp considering Uni and UMJ only have a win between them, both have been extremely competitive at times and I can see them getting a big scalp or two along the way.

I think there 3 teams that stand out above the rest, at this stage .... PAOC, Goodwood and Brighton.

Haven't seen PAOC or Goodwood yet, but didn't think a great deal of Brighton when I saw them. Tend to think PAOC and Goodwood are a long way ahead of the field with 3rd through to 8th being reasonably open atm.

I’ve seen Goodwood a couple of times now and they’ll be hard to beat come finals time.
