Well if its all bullshit why dont you come out and tell us what is REALLY going on
Coming on here saying it is all crap with nothing to back it up with makes u just as bad

1. Is the club in financial trouble?
2. Will you field one team or two?
3. If you do field a side will you be playing on Churchill Rd?

Don't expect to get an answer on those questions, that not impossible. I believe they have nominated 1 team, I've been past just after 6.oopm every night the past week and there is no sign of any action whatsoever.
Maybe they get an extra month off as premiers just like in the AFL or could it be that the majority have gone/are going elsewhere?
Nuggety Goodness, throw some light on the subject please, the suspense is killing us!

The word from Prospect Council is that the vote has already been taken and Ovingham will lose the ground. The only thing left to decide is wether it will go to Blackfriars or Broadview juniors.
I have to make a public apology to Rupert.I was one of those who supported the gypsies, and called on others to give them a fair go.It seems clear now that Rupert knows a lot more about the ways of the world than this little black duck.Apologies Rupert my Boy!!!!!!!!
What a shame! As a former captain and coach of the small but proud club known as Ovingham,I will be very sad to see 100 years of history go down the drain.

04 PC, cheers and thanks, apology accepted although not really necessary.

I have just re-read the 26 pages of posts on the subject and must say that your passion for the club and faith you showed in the new people is to be commended. Perhaps you should revisit those pages too for old time sake!

What will happen at Ovingham in the future, I have no idea but it doesn't sound very promising, I hope they continue on as a footy club but I also hope they become a bit more prudent and selective in every area, otherwise it will continue to have similar problems to overcome each and every year.

I too, as a former player many years ago will be sorry if the club does actually cease to exist as a result of pitfalls of prior poor management.

Clubs folding is an unfortunate reality. There aren't enough players to support all these clubs and keep creating new ones e.g. Blackfriars, Trinity.

Absolutely, so what are the facts?

I would have thought the obvious one would be, will Ovies have a team in this season?
Have you got a coach?
Have you got a club?
Where have all of last year's people gone?
Have you had your AGM, have you got a committee?
Do you still have an oval?

That will do for a start.

So the best you can do is pick up a simple grammar issue. is there a prob with giving us some info on your club and how it is travailing or you blokes still undecided on where you are playing?
