Yes, it's his first year at PNU. Has had a very good 2nd half of the year. Having only missed rounds 1 & 16, I would expect him to poll very well.

Scotch v PAOC should be a great game. Who are people going with?

PAC wouldn't be feeling great coming into finals on the back of two losses to teams who got relegated, and narrowly avoided relegation (albeit PAC didn't have much to play for in those games).

Scotch are also very very hard to beat up on their hill.

Scotch were 6-0 weren't they? have gone 7-5 since, while as you say, PAC dropped their last two to two of the battlers. Neither side has good form, take the home team.

Broadies vs SHOC - Broadies got the big win last week to make finals and claim home turf, but with losses in the previous 4 games, they would hardly be confident. SHOC have also only picked up 1 win in their last 5, albeit that win was over Broadies. I'll take the home team again.

Amazing the relative lack of form of the sides that managed to make the 5, particularly compared to PHOS who got relegated after being one of the better teams of the second half of the year, and to a similar extent Flinders Park(and SMOSH who did not get relegated).

You would have to say that a 7-5 record is still good form would you not? Especially considering the evenness of the div 2 competition. From what i can gather after quickly look at their results they have lost to PNU twice, by less than a goal both times, Walkerville by less than a goal, SHOC by 3 goals and Broadview(who had everything to play for last week) by 2 goals.

If their good players play well they are very hard to stop.

Scotch for me

7-5 is still decent (and I imagine would have been in the top 3-4 of the Comp over the period). It's just a significant fall away from their 6-0 start!

Scotch at full strength would win this IMO, but they have some major injury concerns at the moment. The will need the advantage that playing at the "picket fence" oval gives them as this could be a closer match than normally might otherwise have been. Wait till the teams are announced Thursday night...

Will tip Broadview but not with any great confidence in another match that should be close.....

Given the form of the top 5 sides over the last month.......I think that the D2 flag is PNU's to lose......

Such an even comp this year with finals spots and relegation coming down to the last round!
Seeing all the sides this year I think the top two in Scotch and Payneham definitely deserve to be there.

This weeks games:
Scotch V PAOC: Scotch by a mile in my opinion, especially on their deck. 6+ Goals.
Broadview V SHOC: SHOCs are a very skilled outfit in both A's and Reserves. But, Broadview at home is a hard task. Probably some of the most vocal supporters around, and the players definitely respond to this. Will be a close game with Broadview to win by 1-12 pts.

My top 5 for the medal would be

Angus Twopenny (scotch)
Scott Burnett (broadview)
William Hugo (paoc)
Fraser Marshall (walkerville)
Jack O'Leary (pnu)

From us I think it will be an even spread of votes but think Nick Forster may be out dark horse to poll well.

It gets worse young fella. "The Situation" told me yesterday Johnny Giannini did not get an invite to the count so won't even finish in the top 4 for PNU. Reminiscent of the Charlie Molyneaux debacle a few years ago.

Based on that I'm tipping PAC to knock of PNU by ten goals. I will hitting up SAFooty stalwart Jimmy Carter for a wager at The Junction next week

Get your hand off it WW. Reverse psychology what's in play here.....However, as previously discussed you said Giannini would suffer by having others take votes....I haven't seen ...but did Tyler Brimbacome and Jack O'Leary get invites....
