This still has to be given the OK by the clubs themselves at the delegates meeting on Monday night.

It may not even happen .

What delegates? The ones from the clubs in this division, or from all clubs?

It will probably get discussed on the floor, with the relevant clubs being pulled aside for further discussion thereafter

Force Greenacres to drop to D7, play 9 team grades in 6 & 7, incorporate a bye.

Problem solved, you're welcome.

Unfortunately being the last of the A Grade Divisions you get what is left and it becomes difficult to enforce C Grade sides to play against A Grade sides

An 8 team template you have 2 choices, play everyone twice and have a 14 round season or accept that the draw will be like the AFL one and uneven

Nah no solution mate. Just having a chat on the issue that always seems to be the case in Div 7.

If it did go to a 14 round season would the Div 7 calls be less to reflect the amount of games played?

Why should Greenacres be "forced" to drop a grade. If they have met all the criteria to stay in that grade they should be in that grade. Can't just force clubs to drop. If the league (not posters on SAfooty) are worried about them then do their research and discuss it, but if they tick the boxes to be in Div 6 then they should stay there.

Quite a few boys in a similar boat for the Lions. Look forward to playing CU sounds like both will have a mix of youngsters and wily old veterans.

Cos they'll be rubbish and lose every game by 100 points

Whilst generally i'd agree, I think given some very lobsided scores in divisions in recent years, the league should be more vigilant in doing what is in the best interests of the competitions, and in turn the clubs.

I am aware that the league are doing research and keeping an eye on Greenies as it is, but far out lets be serious, the writing is on the wall - they were pumped religiously last year, they've lost the entire top tier of their player base, they're getting a dozen on the track and their recruits have almost all come from a mid table D7 club in St Pauls.

They were smoked by D7 side Lonsdale in the trial, their best players on the night were Lonsdale players loaned to them - how are they going to stack up against West Croydon, Trinity, Elizabeth in D6?

Then they should request to drop down if it's best for their club. Every grade has a team that is shit and should probably be in a lower div. No point having promotion and relegation if we just put teams where we think they should be before a game has even been played. You may be right and they could lose every game by over 100 points but its not Greenacres problem that div 7 only has 8 teams

If we do go to an 8 team comp, it will be the D7 clubs who decide how to structure the fixture.

Lets have a 21 round fixture and everyone plays each other 3 times.

Play everyone twice then a North South split for the other 3 games. No brainer.

Lonsdale v Pulteney in a trial tomorrow, no idea what level of strength the teams will be at but will give some indication of how Lonsdale will fare this year..

You're assuming they've met the criteria.
