Whilst its gutting for us (Morphett Vale, SFL) that he wont be playing for us in 2012, it will be interesting to see how he goes in the SAAFL. He's only 28ish but his best footy was probably 3ish years ago before knee problems slowed him down a bit. 6'3", mobile, great grab, kamikaze attitude, famous for 2nd and 3rd efforts at ground level, was probably the best player in the SFL during Morphett Vale's 4 flags in a row. Top bloke as well!

My only concerns would be how his knee and body will hold up with the rigors of consistent footy. I doubt he will be able to train twice a week with his knee, and i would assume there are no easy games in SAAFL Div 2 - unlike the SFL where we could often rest him.

very big call considering they have Jeremy Johncock who has played good league footy in past years

still better than bubbles, this guy will dominate down there...

and played juniors at west lakes before moving to henley!! we would love to have him come out for a kick. one of his close mates is coaching the club this year so we may get him out for a few games.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

He is off to play in the riverland. I believe he is having a farewell game in round 1 then heading off.

Why would you bother playing him in round 1 if he is not going to be playing there for the rest of the year. :o

That is correct, great bloke and TTG will miss him massively (although Kells helps cover in the FWD).

Are they home in Round 1? Would be a fair crowd at Pertaringa if so.

Massive day planned i believe! The blokes have been doing extra squats in the gym so they can chair him off

I think the TTG footy clubs cricket side will miss him more, the 700+ runs he has made is a big reason they are top of the ladder & looking at back to back flags

I'd pay to see Wicks and Golding chair him off
