Should they?

Surely the team representing the state would be the best 22 in the state?

Otherwise, what's the point?

Should they change the name of the side to State Metropolitan Team? Would this satisfy your requirements?

FWIW, I don't think they should wear the red jumper with yellow and blue yoke either.

And what about the joke of an over 35 "State" team wearing the state jumpers when this is a side just picked from an over 35 super rules sunday comp. Any decent player over that age is still playing real football.

Is this just a case of sour grapes for guys that have never been good enough to make a rep side?

Next you're gonna start on the mini league kids for wearing the guernseys of the the afl teams that they're playing in the half time game of.
Are those kids really the junior rep side of say a port and adelaide teams

Get over it I reckon.

How much of the state is represented in the SANFL state games? Can't see areas on the limestone coast being represented? Can't see kangaroo island being represented...

Just because they are using the state guernsey, it doesn't mean they are representing every single centimetre of land in SA.

Limestone Coast is zoned to Glenelg
Kangaroo Island is zoned to South Adelaide

It's actually changed since I played and I was playing both SAAFL and super rules at the same time and it was an honour and a privledge to wear the state jumper at 38. One of the greatest moments of my life to represent my state.
