Someone told me they spent 80K in 2012 to come 3rd? Not surprising at all.

Don't underestimate Gepps Cross. No excuses for their 2012 form, or lack of it, but for much of the season they had to play some Under 18's in key positions to get a team on the park due to injury. If you check their scores they were more than competitive for 3/4's of many games, leading at 3/4 time and getting overrun. Neil Rawlings is a tougher coach than Ando and he's an excellent recruiter. Money for players won't be a factor, within the salary cap of course. A few new quality signings already I hear.

They have already signed Josh Taylor returning after a stint at South and Willaston, is a big boy and can play key post at both ends, anyone have any more on what last years div 1 medalist is doing, rumours are he is off to either the Bays or Sals West

Will be interesting to see the in's and out's at the start of 2013. There was a massive turnover of players last summer.
I think the current situation where Smitheram is Football Director and Tylor is head cocach is the perfect outcome for the club. Smitheram's mates that he's brought to the club will be more inclined to stay as he's still involved, and you'd expect Tylor would bring a couple with him too.

Maybe blokes like yourself should contribute a bit more then FF. I guess there wasn't much worth writing home about at Walkerville in 2012.

I believe they have appointed a new coach as well.

Unlike Port Districts and Portland, there is no need for Co#k measuring on a public forum for most other clubs.

No we haven't. Our announcement would be fairly close though and it won't be Darren.
