Wow, who would have thought. Weetra goalless and Para Hills loose!!!!!!

Oh, but,

Para Hills had 7 out. 4 decent div6-7 players, with 3 hacks playing on pure reputation.

Pretty disrespectful to Para Hills. They're a good unit, they have good depth - you don't have 3 sides competing for finals spots, and not have reasonable depth.

Yeah we won, and the margin blew out more that everyone would've thought - but that's not a genuine reflection on the difference between the two sides, nor do we believe ourselves to be far superior. Their best 21 vs our best 21 is in my opinion very similar.

Their "outs" are significant, and when there is effectively a third of the team missing, it makes a huge difference. Schroeter, Hrynkiw, Nuske, Bailey and Travis would play A grade in every other team in this div.. Cree wouldn't be out of place either - a bloke whose what 6'4" and has kicked almost 500 goals over the journey.

We were the better team on the day.. but doesn't matter who wins in Round 15. As cliché as it is, we are only looking forward one week at a time. Our biggest goal is to get out of D7, and until that's achieved (if it's achieved), then it's head down, bum up, work hard and respect the opposition.

Fixturing for finals in a couple weeks will be interesting, at this stage likely to be:

D7:
Para Hills vs Houghton
OSB Lonsdale vs Flinders Uni

D7R:
Houghton vs Mitchell Park
Flinders Uni vs Para Hills

C6 (Round 18):
Houghton vs Ingle Farm
Para Hills bye

So guessing Houghton will host their B grade at home after the C grade match, Flinders Uni will head to Para Hills and possible earlier start for the B grade?

No, i reckon Para Hills will host all 3.

Apologies.

Para Hills to host a triple header if they choose too. I doubt the league and Houghton would want the hassle of two grounds for the day. A grade team takes priority
