Scott has been our B grade coach for quite a few years but also has experience with Edwardstown. Taking what was a pretty ordinary unit at times in our B grade to perennial finals contender, Scott was the perfect man for the job. Personally speaking he has been a great coach for me and is one of the better tactical minds you will come across in amatuer football.

He is also quite pragmatic when it comes to black slacks. :D

We would also like to welcome back one of our favourite sons in Wayne Wyld, who has graciously stepped out of retirement to give us hand in a Director of Coaching sort of role. Yanky can perhaps expand on his role?

Now to build some positivity, win back some players, get on the blower and get stuck into pre season. In January. ;)

Official role is Football Manager and Assistant to Scott. Time to support the very guy who supported me for two years. After all he was my A grade assistant as well as ressies coach. Is good to be back but. We've kept the majority, recruited a few and a couple have come back from the 2013 gf team.
Good man. Personally speaking hopefully that means I can continue to coast into the sunset with the lads from the place to B.

Hope to see you Friday.

Its official, Echunga appealed the decision and won. Mt Lofty will play either Hills Country or Div 6 next season.

We still have a way to go yet Doghouse, but it would be great to build on 2013. The lads looked good at times but lack of experience and lapses in concentration hurt at times. To be honest the club has a lot of really good kids who need time and further development and they will get that this year. :)

Suits us, Mt Lofty is a lot closer than Angle Vale and a 10 team comp is better than a 9 team comp. :D

According to the HFL thread the official decision the club wants to chase will be decided tonight.
Will be an interesting decision.

Hopefully they do rather play every week than have the bye.

Yes, yes they did[/quote]
Used to be a fair trip from Pooraka to Heathfield, although the first time we played them I think it was at Stirling.

I think you will find they have decided to stay in Hills Country for now. At least in the short term. My info is that the core group of seniors may consider moving on rather than go to Div 6 SAAFL. :)

Think you might find the HFL won't allow seniors only. Will be all in HFL or none in. Damage is already done. I know one nearby club has got one of their better juniors and he is bringing 4 of his mates. They don't want to play down town. January will be an interesting time.

Agree has been, Feb will be just as important too, when the clearances come in. Lofty should stay where they are including their juniors and work on getting back to HFL Central. SAAFL is not a good option for the club and Metro Sth juniors, well less said the better.

Looks like Central United will avoid the chop to Division 7 after all.
Div 6 to have 10 teams with below the order of clubs getting offered that 10th spot

Central United
Houghton Districts
Smithfield
Flinders University
North Pines

Pretty funny that Smithfield with all their off field dramas this season could potentially be promoted to Div 6

i have been critical in the past but the MSJFL appears to be going ok these days..11 clubs and 9 grades from 8's - 16.5's..a girls competition next year as well..what dont you like yankman?
