Not sure about that. He is moving to Melbourne in march

Why would that stop him?

Knowing Ben and his partner personally, i'm sure his partner wouldnt be thrilled with him flying back every weekend. When I last spoke to him he said he was going to play in Melbourne next year, perhaps things have changed

I heard Melbourne as well. Ya never know with guns

not sure who youve heard that from?? everyone who has actually met the bloke and been to training seems very up beat about Walshy and his direction. would love to know who told you otherwise.

you can't get much redder than walshy...
good luck to him, lovely guy who also took an interest in all grades of the club.
not sure about his network as the blacks didn't seem to get any recruits (that I'm aware of) out of him though.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

Would love to know how you easily replace Dave Bird and Tom Lipson. Chris Lipson has also left who played full back for them last year. The only names ive heard thrown around is Paul Christofis and Christain Nurton and they def wont be playing there.

Any and all players are replaceable. Some might think they aren't, but in the end clubs will survive without those who don't want to play. You just move on and put your time into those who choose to be at a club for the right reasons.

Yeah but when you move up a Divison and lose your captain and best player in Bird, along with a couple others your gonna struggle arent you. Obviously Portland will survive, but not in Div 2.

Obviously it doesnt help our chances loosing these blokes and i think i speak for everyone at the club when i say we would love to have them running around in what is unchartered waters for our club being div 2, but we dont simple as that. i would say most clubs per year lose somewere between 1-7 of there A graders from the previous year so it by no stretch of the imagination is it doom and gloom,

You would think guys just playing In D5 would be more interested in just getting a kick without worrying about clubs that would beat his own by 15 or 20 goals. From what ive been told by good sources Portland have lost two players of any note and thats it and the guy who struggles to get a kick thinks they have no chance of survival..........mmmmm

I can honestly say that I have never received a memo of any sort in my entire life. Does that mean I have a whole heap of unanswered memo's out there? Should I be concerned?

3 players have moved on. Big deal. 2 of whcih were consistent throughout they year the other had injuries most of the time. One wants to have a crack at a higher division which is great for him. The other two left for different reasons. So that constitutes relegation? Give me a break. You read on other topics sides loosing up to 10 of their starting A grade. Pull your head out and think about it. Its December 2011 and no one will work it out until September 2012 how we or any club has faired. I understand where some of you are coming from with the closeness of some poeple and their mates etc. Thing is our club and that club will never play each other again as we arent content to sit in that div and worry about irrelevant cr@p and actually concentrate on footy.

A part from that a trial match would be a great idea. Then we can sort out the girls form the men. Maybe we should keep an eye on our own back yards before we start sh!tting in everyone elses.

Nh mate your not the only one. There are memo's from 2008 i evidently got sent but never saw them  Hey Boosh are the Kolbigs still a big name around haven? Were the sh!t when i played for havens. Goes to show how many people actually stay within their club form juniors. I see a lot of blokes aroud the place taht were North Haven through and Through and never played a senior game or very little senior games. Same can be said for our club.

You are spot on there mate, I reckon a team made up of former North Haven juniors currently playing for other clubs would beat our current A Grade side

I wouldn't mind a few coming back, if only for the fact they are zero points. Jarrod Hales would be particulary handy.

Yeah your probably right BOOSH with blokes like Karhl Lohde, Gavin Henneker, Marty Philp (RIP mate), Gibbo and even Brian Lake would be handy and given a few sides even in higher grades a touch up. I wont say that i could put myself in there. I would probably break something putting my boots on. Cant remember some of the other names now.
