Deserved to win the game with their F50 entries, but unfortunately a lack of direction heading forward cost them shots on goal. Controlled majority of the game. Glanville in the ruck was massive around the ground, can't recall him losing a tap, and Kerrigan was easily one of your best all day. Good to see Sebastian named in the best too - thought he was outstanding on the wing - cant kick, but hunts the ball well and finds plenty of it.

Henderson stiff not to get a mention in the best players - the 67 year old veteran was Wayne Carey like in the 1st term, plucking contested marks at will across half forward.

Not bad place to watch footy from at the top of the hill either, food was amongst the best i've had all year, the vast array of craft beers was a pleasant change from the same old red tins or super dry at other clubs, and i managed to get a nice bottle of cab sav which went down a treat! :D

I know our lads enjoyed having a few drinks up there - best part being the fact hardly any of them had reception so the partners couldn't call

Great hospitality after the A grade game too. I know the boys that hung around enjoyed the free beers while they were there, and lets not mention the 2 litre flask of Grappa. :partyman: Cheers Houghton.
On a side note, spent all day trying to find someone to take Zatan's reference, but know one wanted anything to do with it. =))

Agreed. Only thing that may work in Brahma's favour is the weather, but on the larger Argana Park just don't think they've got the aerobic capacity to go with Elizabeth.

David Savage will be a huge blow for the Tigers in the midfield as well, while I would think the Eagles could recall as many as 4, with Makris, Cotter, Shephard and Paradiso noticeable absentees from last week.

Reynolds will have a day out, and Upton is arguably one of the premier backmen in the comp at the moment.

Too much power around the ground, and i'd expect the Eagles will tinker their match ups a fraction this week so Steele and McIntyre will be shut down.

40 - 60 mil between now and Satdy.
Could be a game changer.
Sides that smarten up and be desperate will get the job done.

Elizabeth are the team to beat and wouldn't be surprised if they destroy each of the teams in their path to glory!!

They have the best form coming into this finals series 8 wins in-arrow an impressive feat that will continue to climb. It involved beating Pulteney on their home deck by a convincing 49 points and Ingle Farm who they too were on a winning strict until they met.

The eagles have one weakness in their overall team structure the forwards have been so damaging during the back 9 of the minor round. To have two strong focal points in Cotter & Woodland it makes any football team jealous and nervous. The midfield lead by Jye McConnell in the ruck always gives his onball brigade first use of the ball. They just squeeze the opposition and make it a true contested game and just bully the oposition into forced errors. The most underrated player in this div would be Trent Greenshields "The Mountain" is just a bull in the stoppages with no player able to contain his intimidating frame.

Its a matter of who's playing for second then who's going to win division 6 sorry.

Accurate AF hahaha.

I was looking forward to all our B and C graders who haven't been able to train the past month or so suddenly being available to train on a Tuesday but this rain will keep them busy around 6pm.

Seems BLFC coaching staff agreed with what has been written and decided not to train last night. Instead it was a chin wag in the clubrooms. Probably just putting all their efforts into the home 1st Semi next weekend instead.

... wouldn't discount TOS in both grades Saturday.. won 7 of their last 9 games, only went down to PUL by 21 points after giving up a 40 point lead at 1/4 time, and only fell to Brahma Lodge by 3 points in Rd 11 - while also beating Ingle Farm at Rowe Park by 3 points.

Quick look over the line up last weekend, would appear TOS were missing a few too - Pounendis whose arguably their most courageous player, Winning who I believe is captain this year, D. Stimson, A. Stimson, Hooker, Dahlgren, Collyns.

B Grade they were missing Philp, Williams, Baker, K. Roberts, Barker, Krieg, Bosward, Crocker, Drewett, Barraclough.

Be careful of the Tossers.. they're the sleeping giant..

$10,000 on Pulteney in the B Grade better value than Winx and more of a sure thing

Imagine if they hadn't had half a team out in the first couple of games due to weddings etc and had the massive loss... their percentage would've been a lot better and possibly had the extra win or two..

That'll learn em for getting married in footy season

Yeah think you're right

They've really flexed their muscles over the back half of the year - only Salisbury West in Rd 11 have been able to kick more than 4 goals than them and break the 30 point barrier

Been a sleeping giant all year due to no one rating the list or game plan , but is awokening and is definitely up to something. Would have comfortably sewn up a double chance if they ever had a full strength team for 1-2 games. Quite amazing feat to finish where they are considering the amount of ins and outs each week. Will be interesting to see which players are in this week from the players mentioned above. Apart from two big losses, A grade has been more than competitive in every game, sometimes completely dominate as Ingle Farm will know from Round 11. B grade also good chance this week vs. Brama due to the wider oval at Rowe Park.
