"Either way, we look forward to seeing them tomorrow."

Are they having a sleep out to reduce the travel time on Saturday?

I've invited the Edwardstown lads round for a sleepover Friday to reduce their travel time.. the hospitality of the Modbury Football Club knows no bounds.

was paying $1.01 to go undefeated - surely they cant lose in straight sets... or could they?

Finals record over the past few years would be fairly average. Would all their big names be keen to stick around for another season in Division 3?

I called past Harper's Field last night, I think Flinders Park need to wear gumboots on the weekend, not footy boots.

Heard same, Grima moving on due to personal reasons and Edwards been appointed coach for next season.

Glenunga will have close to a dozen points up their sleeve next year as well, so can fit a 4pt player in.

But 0 points to go to GG sets them up real well for an assault on D2 carrying only a handful of points.

Flinders / Edwardstown B Grade went to an unheard of triple over time (golden point).

Townies with a clutch point to go through the GF against Golden Grove

I'm just putting this here for extra proof

Last week on my SAAFL memories FB page, I threw the cat well and truly among the pigeons by claiming that Towns would end up taking the flag

This was based purely on the fact that their A grade has won a flag pretty much in every year ending in "2" since they formed (excluding world wars)

It's out there, i know ....and I know that no one has got remotely close to Golden Grove but it's hard to look past those stats

Flinders Park just can't get out of Div 3 can they? 7 years in a row now they've played finals and haven't managed to gain promotion (obviously made the GF in 2020 but there was no promotion that season).
I've seen first hand (being on the end of some beltings from them) that they're good enough as a club to play in Div 2 as they have the quality and depth to do it but just can't get it done at that final hurdle.

After seeing both Flinders and Edwardstown play in the last few weeks, i wasnt shocked by the result in the A Grade Saturday.

I think Golden Grove get over the line this weekend, but Edwardstown have a handful of players with genuine pace that could make things really interesting on a big deck.

Another year of Flinders Park B grade to deal with  .. I'm just glad their C Grade aren't the force they once were anymore!

Also interesting is their last A grade flag was in 2005 and their current coach was the premiership captain.
