I don't know, but I'd be surprised if they are still not on AAA. They have been docked points in each of the last 3 seasons;

2017 -10 pts
2016 -4 pts
2015 -8 pts

I don't know the ins and outs of AAA's, but you would assume that once a club is on one they would have to exhibit a change in behaviour over a reasonable period to have it removed.

I guess it would be the same situation that occurred with Eastern Park this year. Weeks suspended = Amount of points lost. Could put Salis Nth well into the relegation zone

Surely the AAA is pretty clear regarding acts of intentional striking. Given apparently the League has already given some leeway this year I worry this could get very bad for Northies

Always questionable when such penalties are handed down, especially when on has never been reported previously, unless there is video evidence, or a direct line of sight on an incident from a match offical... if it's deserving it's deserving.

thats not to say someone can't do something stupid. we all know that one guy and think "how is this guy still on the park"..

Probably only a matter of time before someone decides they've gone too far and goes the injunction route against the league...especially when you only have 12 games avialiable to you. Get less for deliberately running someone over...

I’ve played with and against Alex and watched him as well. Never thought of him as anything but fair.

Anyone going to give an safooty account of what happened?

There’s a lot too play out with this one me. When your brother plays 300 AFL games, he makes a lot of real good friends in the football world.
There’s footage of the incident but with its inconclusive. And the SAAFL went with the doctors report. But how can the tribunal be sure that it was arm hitting him high. Or the force of hitting the ground. Which the player did straight away.

I find that very hard to believe, given you have nothing to do with this comp @shoe boy

Next youre going to tell us that the league sent it to you to have a look at.

8 weeks based on a doctors report....

Was the report provided to the player and club pior to the tribunal hearing? So the club could plan a defence, or it just came out on the night?

My mail is the video is very conclusive.

A sucker punch which left the guy unconscious.

Lucky with only 8 and I don’t think his brother can bail him out of this one

The game was filmed by Adelaide Footy TV as far as I'm aware, so I'm assuming it wouldn't have been hard for the League/Unley/shoe boy/anyone to find the footage (assuming, I haven't gone looking for it myself).
