They may need to think long and hard about their nickname becuase the female version of the Bulls are the Cows

Ambitious one would think, Greenacres are also pressing for a women's side to return and with established clubs Ingle Farm & Gepps Cross a stones throw, they're competing in a tough market.

All three co-existed previously when there were only about 12 sides in total.

Greenies were very strong for a long time, Pooraka were on the up but it all fizzled out for them.

Participation levels are about 25 times higher now, they don't have to compete for numbers with St. Pauls, Para Hills, Brahma Lodge or Mawson Lakes like the men do.

Is the coach from the past two seasons going around again?

No, Courts isn’t going around again. Courts is currently handing the reigns over to James Murdoch (New A grade Coach). We didn’t want to lose her but she has had to prioritise family and work.

She is an absolute gem of a person. I umpired her team a few times, win, lose or draw she would come over and say thank you on my way off, always pleasant to talk to pre-game, was a great role model for the players. The playing group was pretty easy to umpire as well, great attitudes.

That’s great to hear. I’ll make sure I pass that onto Courts but also James. DM me on here next game of Woody South your umpiring I’ll make sure I come say Gday as well.

i was at Dulwich doing some history stuff over the weekend and going by the whiteboard I think some withdrawals of women’s teams on Friday has thrown the whole thing into chaos. Something like 7 teams in one day withdrew their nomination and there was already a draft fixture ready to go.

Could be wrong though.

Now waiting on a phone call from the big cheese for telling the world what was on his whiteboard in 5, 4,3,2....

Mergers and 7 teams withdrawing
Has the bubble burst for womens footy already - or does it have anything to do with some of the rules regarding SANFLW listed players availability for Adel Footy League

It wouldn't help, given that there are league and development sides both not being able to play for Community Clubs. Adding to that, they CAN play for regional country clubs (if I understand it correctly). So I would imagine less community clubs and more regional clubs being fielded.

Every club thinking they can get a team together was probably more the issue. Only so many players to go around

The bubble hasn't burst. There is still plenty of demand for it..... Knowing how some clubs operate there might have been a few clubs that entered sides knowing it was going to be touch and go and haven't got the numbers fro all the sides they nominated

It is interesting that in our league if you have played 7 or more games you cant come back and play in this league, but the Hills Leage, you can play all 12 games for a SANFLW club, and then can play back in the Hills as they have no restrictions on that rule.

Not good when teams withdraw at the last minute.

In men’s footy, I know plenty of clubs who have entered C grades who only are getting 15-20 on the track each night.
