My sources within the Leagues four walls is that North Pines to be asked or told to push out of D7R and into D7 for the obvious reasons!
If this is to happen they will get maybe a 3 to 4 point loading for a win.......thoughts!

How would this work we will end up with st pauls and adelaide uni having one less bye than everyone. And you cant just gift them a win Flinders Uni havnt won a game so they should start on the same amount as them.

No if they moved into D7 when they played a team and win that game they get 3 to 4 points instead of the traditional 2....but yes they would start at the bottom!

I'm guessing they'll still do the fixture to even out the byes, meaning North Pines will have a bye when those two teams next have a bye.

But that would mean 4 teams would end up having a bye

There will be uneven byes amongst teams in D7R. Take North Pines out and at the end of the minor round, the total amount of byes for year for each team would be:

AV - 6
MP - 5
AU, FU, HD, SP - 4

So you would basically need to credit AV with two wins and MP with one win. I looked at the fixture and unfortunately, MP and AV byes do not align. Would have been handy if one did then they could play each other.

The A-grade fixture can still be organised so that the existing teams only have two byes for the year now, however, St Paul's and Adelaide Uni are yet to have a bye, therefore two of their byes must still stand (both have the bye this weekend so that is the obvious one that will stand).

I'm guessing they get every team once with 3 points a game. Multiply by the games they play and that puts them top 3 at season end, and a genuine premiership contender when they win every game. Just another ridiculous twist to Div 7. So they are too good for Div 7 reserves, so let's fix it. Bugger me Houghton are undefeated they are clearly too good for Div 7 so let's push them up to Div 6 and fill that void, can't have that. Hope it's put to a vote and doesn't happen.

If they can come in and beat every side, then yes, they do deserve to play finals. That would be the logic of issuing them with 3 points a win.

So are you saying they don't deserve to play finals if they beat everyone?

I'm saying they deserve to play finals in Div 7 reserves. That's where they are. To give them an opportunity to play finals in a higher grade when we are half way through a season is rubbish. Too many clubs have worked hard to just stay alive let alone be given gimme's.
Look at Kilburn, great club and a icon in most people's eyes. Have worked hard to rid themselves of the payment stigma, good on Matty. So let's not hand out candy to those who should get salt.
