Goal umpires were supposed to police the two who used to be required to start in the goal square. Stand on the side of the goal square until both players were in and then move back tot he goal line. However not all leagues were smart enough to make sure their umpires followed that protocol.
With that law now changed no need for the goal umpires to be involved just leave it to the boundaries to count that there are 6 in each 50 and then inform the fieldies.
