The SANFL aren’t stepping in at all.

WOSFC have appealed to a SANFL tribunal as is their right after the SACFL have also told WOSFC that there is no valid permit.

So they are involved.

He didn't say they were stepping in, he said they were involved :P

Not sure why but the SANFL are involved, the permit in question was approved is my mail from very reliable source.

The Adelaide Footy League is no longer "Amateur" clubs are spending significant amounts of money to improve and becoming far more professional, it would appear after the last couple of weeks with decisions made by the league that clubs could be starting to question the leagues handling and professionalism.

Allegedly the permit was approved, just not presented at the match.

Not sure presenting a permit at the match is required? I would have thought it pretty easy for Westminster to provide the approved permit and why would the league come to the decision it has if they approved the permit in the first place. Also why did Westminster wait till the end of the season before it decided to appeal?

I could be wrong, but my understanding is the PlayHQ system automatically approves permits, and Westminster thought this meant it had been approved? Whereas you are supposed to also seek separate league approval for permits? That's the way it sounded at least when this all began.

That’s debatable - no depth whatsoever and wouldn’t suprise me if they lose a few - they are horrendous

Yep, I watched him play, GG have a crook old side, must be huge brown paper bags up that way!
Josh is lean & mean, could easily step back into SANFL next season but he wants to play on with Shenton & Co.

Massive pick-up for GG. You don't get many young, ex-AFL players as a zero-pointer! According to all reports, serving the 4-year drug ban hasn't hindered his form.

Lets be honest neither side is going to have much of an impact. The top 4 sides are miles ahead of the rest. However I do think Westminster provide Edwardstown with more of a challenge this weekend.

Dunno about that, WOS have just spent 20k to probably get flogged this week and drop out anyway.

It's a lot of money to spend for the principle..

You're possibly over-estimating Westminster's exclusivity ;)

The school thinks its very exclusive.....they don't publish their fees on their website!

Anyway don't think the backers of the Old Scholars are penniless. Think the forked out an extra $50k to get the electricity connected to the new scoreboard a few years back
