Having played every team once, i cant see a team in a's or b's that is unbeatable.

Lonsdale in the As and Hougton in the Bs although undefeated, can definitely see dropping 1 or 2 before the season is done.
Both playing with an older team with alot of experience, an injury or two to the wrong players could leave them vulnerable (especially lonsdale)
Leaving 5-6 teams in the mix.

I can't see Houghton losing one in the Magoos. Especially if their A's don't go deep in the finals if they're in at all. I don't think either top 5 will be decided until after the last round.
IMO at a disadvantage if A's don't make finals, as there will be a number of fringe players ineligible due to games weighting

Ok. I'm not up with all that it was just 4 games to qualify back in my day. Isn't it anyone can play if both teams are in or is it still have to qualify?

If a player plays 10 A Grade games and 8 B Grade games during the minor round they are ineligible to qualify for the B Grade finals unless both Grades make the finals.

It gets a little intricate after that but it's a fair system.

Biggest issue here is some clubs don't update team lists online to match hard copy on game day. I have several opposition team sheets that are quite different from online.

Does the hard copy get sent to the league?

We'd be one of them I reckon.

Our B Grade team sheets end up looking like a blind man tried to play suduko

No

Well that's a bit silly I would think.

In the APFL the umpire has to sign in the box underneath the last named player entry so no more can be added later. That copy gets sent to the league.

What do our umpires do with them?

Still getting used to some subtle differences between leagues but isn't the onus on the home club to update the player changes + numbers as per the team sheets whilst entering the results?

Good to have footy back, we have a couple of huge games this week.

St Pauls face a desperate Houghton away. Could go either way but i think St Pauls might narrowly reverse the after the siren result from round 1!

Lions take the trek to Elizabeth to face a fired up Central United. Couple of big ins for the dogs with S Gatto and Woodward returning.... could be another cliffhanger but ill stick with the good guys in maroon to prevail by less than a goal! :D

Big day for the Units, with prodigal son Nathan Fatwick playing game 300 as well.

Onya Fenners, fair effort knotching up 300 games!

Great effort we've celebrated a couple of big milestones ourselves this year.... lot of blood, sweat, tears and most importantly loyalty to reach 300.

Ease up, years of neglect and you too could look like Fenners!

Well done to the lad, a Unit man through and through, footy and cricket.

Fenners is a legend. Classic amateur footy character, many of whom are sadly disappearing.

Congratulations big fella. Try and keep your temper in check!

How is the Sullies oval looking? Couldn't be any worse than ours after last week's rain and the two games yesterday.

Pretty firm under foot.

The Lions will be wearing the heritage green and gold Mawson/ Lonsdale colours in the A grade this week. Also a 25 year premiership reunion for the 1993 u17s (believe it or not 2 players from that team are still running around). Should be a great day down at the Den.

Good to hear, Houghton would have had over 40mm rainfall last week, so it wasn't pretty footy on Saturday.
