I believe the uni bloke getting straight up was the reason he got less weeks, because it was deemed minal damage. Which is crap IMO because the act is what he should go for not the fact he didnt connect!

I am assuming it wasnt Geoff Roachs son that was hit, otherwise he would have got 12 weeks!!!!
The tribunals inconsistancy reminds me of the AFL Match Review Panel.

i think what people forget when it comes to the tribunal is that its the umpires report that gets looked at and has a lot of bearing on the case. in my experience when a player gets off or doesnt get the amount of weeks he should of its because the umpire gave shit evidence. from what i hear that video wasn't produced at the hearing on wednesday night.

Geez.... Now they are posting SAAFL tribunal incidents on Youtube for all to see and comment on.... I hope the person that put that on there has the consent of all people involved - particularly of the TTG player in Dylan Olive and that of the SAAFL executive.... Paints Dylan in a pretty bad light with that little bit of footage.... I for one would not be happy at all.... It is one thing to video a game for strategy, coaching purposes, tribunal incidents.... I think it is completely another to go posting it on Youtube on an open forum where a young lad is pretty much hung out to dry.... Dont get me wrong, I in NO way condone what he has done, just dont believe it needs to be posted on the internet for all to see and pass comment on!! Its footage like that, that could effect his football in the future ($$ wise as well I guess).... In this day and age it wouldnt be far off being a civil law suit it it did impact on him in the future......

Turn it up Pacman! if you can post everything else in regards to a game on youtube why not tribunal incidents. The TTG player in question was the one that was the fool and should be missing a grand fina (if they win)l, the least he can get is a few people judging him as a thug from watching this video.

Your kidding.

He has painted himself in this light. Its not the footage that could effect his future, its his actions.

Civil suits and shaming these morons will do more to stop these incidents than suspensions.

Yes I absolutely agree.

The issues here are

1. whether the TTG player has consented to it being posted
2. That the SAAFL executive approve
3. The potential for a civil brief
4. The TTG player being painted in a bad light
5. The TTG player's football future especially his earning potential

You've pretty well wrapped it up as a true reflection of the wider football comminties standards you halfwit.

Does the the University Match Review Panel also provide medical reports ? They might be able to increase penalty to their satisfaction if they aren't, I'm sure there is no shortage of doctors out there to concoct some tripe when called upon

He should have probably got more - was reported on the day by an umpire and no video was sighted at the hearing.

I'm sure doctors would want to risk their careers by "concocting some tripe".

It seems so stupid to use intelligence.

I prefer to start a fire with rubbing stones together rather than a match.

Good luck to all finals players.

May the best teams win.

Cash.... By your little 'rant' on here I can only assume that all of the 'other reportable' incidents captured by Uni's cameras this year have been posted on Youtube for all to see then as well.... Including all of the ones that Uni players could be held accountable for as well..... Or was this posted purely due to people not being happy with the decision of the tribunal??? Maybe the SAAFL should have been advised of the existence of the footage prior to the hearing, instead of whining on here and posting it for all to see??? Thats what should have been done!!!

I'm pretty certain that a forum is for people to voice their opinions.... Maybe you should stop talking in riddles and trying to prove that you had some sort of tertiary education for a change????

You choose your actions, you choose the consequences. Don't like getting shown up for taking cowardly cheap shots, don't take them.

Facebook photos after nights out are hilarious.

80% of legal cases in the U.S since 2008 use social media as evidence in court.

That's life now buddy.

If you can be recorded and can be identified you are one.

Was that too complicated for you?
