This I think is becoming a serious issue for the amatuer league. Some of these blokes getting around in the b grade comp are ruining the game. I think the clubs need to take some responsability too with who they ask to umpire.
Be interesting to see how TTG go without this bozo in the finals! ;)

i know our B's are keen to play them without their 19th man! he sent our best player off last game for walking in his path! late in the last quarter when the game was in the balance!

TTG B's seem a good side and will more then likely do pretty well. but the bloke is worth a goal or 3 at least!

Oh no Teaoby..... who are you going to blame for your loss this time???? The neutral umpires??? Goal Umpires??? Oh hang on... what about the Boundary Umpires??? Surely they would have been worth the 4 points that you fell short of???? Maybe if you forget about the umpiring and focus on your game it may have been a different outcome???

And don't you look like a knob pacman.

on a side note i thought Pt Districts B's ump was probably the best going round and we would have preferred to have him then the league umps.

Will be a belter. Fair bit of pressure on Districts, spending some good money to get back into Div 1, now 1 loss away from another season in Div 2.
McDowell back this week.

What a script! Who would have thought at the start of the season that the two local Port teams would be playing off for a spot in the prelim! Districts should win, but with the massive pressure that has been put on Districts this year to go back up and the fact that Portland seem to be able to grow that extra leg when they smell pressure, could be the upset of the year!!!
From what I have seen during the year and also on the weekend, Uni and TTG are the two teams that shoukd be playing off in this years GF.
In the Reserves I thought Gullies were lucky to get the win on the weekend. Uni were all over them in the third term and looked likely to run out comfprtable winners. A solid 10-15 minutes in the last qtr from Gullies where they kicked 3 in a row in a low scoring game just managed to sneak them over the line. Should be a belter this week at thebby with Walkies V Gullies.

football is a funny game and thats why i love it. 2 ppl can watch the same game and have a totally different opinions...
i thought uni were lucky to be in the game. gullies were up by 10 points at half time and were looking the goods. uni really only played one good quarter and that was the third. i would hardly think that means they deserved to win. gullies did have the scoring end in the last quarter. i cant figure out why that was the scoring end because the wind was blowing across the oval but thats the end most of the goals were scored during the day.

Was a great goal by that young fella you gave the handball off to in the last quarter? Was only his first game of A grade footy too wasn't it? Good composure and finishing in those conditions.
Big game down at largs this week. Should be a great game.

Very composed finish by young Cliffy, has pace to burn and great polish and has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, it was his 3rd A grade game and i think he is still only 16, its great to see our club having some serious young talent come through the u/18s
We have had i think 5 u/18s play a bit of A grade this year and 3 of them can still play 18s next year, i am interested to see how many 18 yo or under players teams have played this year, i think TTG have played a few but dont quote me

Districts have used a fair few U18's in the last couple of seasons, this year they've used at least 7 I can think of...Using two of them on the weekend against Uni. I don't know if any are eligible for u18's next year though.

No not really Teaoby.... because the fact still remains that you blamed umpires for games lost.... from the last sentence of your post though, maybe your focus has shifted from outside influences (umpiring) and on the game itself.... Well done and I hope you continue that in 2013

MFC used 6x U18 players and a 16yo this season, we played every game without a single player point so to just miss out on finals is a credit to the lads effort. And looking back without playing 2 carp games against EP we should have played finals.

Good luck to the teams in the finals. IMO Uni are the most disciplined side, Districts have some X factor with their big blokes (need McDowell to win it IMO) but rely heavily on Sampson in the Midfield, TTG can be a tad un disciplined but when up and running very hard to stop. Im thinking Uni/TTG GF and its anyones guess from there

FS, heard some good news with the Big Dog being reappointed, outstanding season from where I watched it, hopefully those clubs with big cheque books don't come along and try and poach some of the Modbury kids that represented the club so well. Really only smashed by the big three over the course of the season. Who knows, some of the deserters might even return, but all positive at Hawk Park this year. AND for christ sake, can you get the club to start pissing in the councils pocket, get them on board and work with them (yes with them, not bag them) on improving the oval - and yes I have heard all the excuses / reasons, etc. Just do it.

My tip for the big one - University v TTG, with Pt District big spend amounting to zilch.

Well done to Tommy Easson on being the joint D2R medal winner (won it with a PAOC player). Back to back D2R medal winners for Walkies, hopefully they can also make it back to back flags too.

Blacks too good. TTG had no one forward capable of clunking a good mark and made some really poor decisions. As a neutral would that be considered a good standard game? Would that be considered a good crowd and for a team like uni do they add much to squad if they're going up?
