Both teams at times seem to do a full 18 man zone on kickins etc. which Blackfriars maintained better and hit targets more often for the 3qtrs which was enough to get them over the line. Still wary of Fitzroy though they do have some strong bodies particularly up forward and will still cause some headaches.
Tough gig for Mitchell Pk and Flinders Uni at the moment as we know. From the Bgrade point of view Flinders Uni although lack talent they still chase and harass well and you still have to earn your kicks. Their full forward goes alright too think he kicked their goals from memory and wouldn't look out of place in Div6 and not the reserves.
Mitchell Pk probably have too many older guys that are ok in a scrap but when the game opens up that's when they struggle.
Looking Forward to Mawson Lakes this week in both grades.

Come on Arch, there is no room for proper football posts in this forum... ;)

Must win for the Lakers this weekend if they want to keep in touch with the top 4. Even though they are fifth. A loss this weekend could see them down the bottom and making it hard for them to keep up with the top 4.

Definitely a must win game, but far from panic stations out at Lakes. Having already recorded a win holds them in good stead.

If they were to lose, and the other "favourites" got up (including Central United in that) then they would still be a game clear of Fitzroy, Angle Vale and Mitchell Park, only a game behind Lockleys and Central United and 2 games behind Blackfriars or Rosewater.

They have played Rosewater and Blackfriars, so still plenty of other sides in this division I rate them higher than to play yet.

Their only win was against MP and by half as much as WC and Rossies beat them by. I'd say this week is a BIG must win. :)

Massive if they are considering playing finals at all this year. Heard a rumour that things are a bit uneasy at the Lakes in the A grade. Anyone wanna shed some light??

Just heard that several meetings are being held each week ( around 3 ) between players & coaching staff. Seems a bit strange to me. Normally 1 meeting a week to discuss the previous game is the norm. But 3. Sounds a bit strange to me.
