I still stick to my pre season prediction that they will struggle!!!

You cant just become a power house after being a total basket case in just one season!!!

Still a bit of work to go!!!

they arent far away i believe..we kicked late, junk time goals in the fourth which blew the margin out yesterday..their B grade have improved greatly and i think the A grade will win next week at home..

Big round coming up

Grand Final preview - Smithfield v Lockleys

Relegation cup - Central United v Brahma, loser probably gets relegated.

5th place hero - Ingle Farm v Fitzroy, winner a better chance of finishing 5th, loser falls back.

But early for these predictions maybe.

Sorry maybe we should sit here all quiet for 18 rounds then make our obvious predictions

Was told yesterday that the Brahma lodge coach has had a change of employment and no longer he can make training. He just turns up on a saturday to coach, I didn't believe this but is this why Brahma have struggled so far if it is true.

I was told this has been the case the past few years, I'm sure BL would've been aware when they signed him?

p.s. Why talk like he can't see this? Why not just ask him straight out?
Half Back Flanker is this true?

I love all these rumours. Yes I have had a change of employment, but I still attend 90% of trainings and the odd chance that I'm not there, my assistant takes training under consultation from me. Those that actually know me, know that if it was the case that I would only be available Saturday's, I would have stepped down.

What is with the anti-Half Back Flanker theme in here? Very odd. :S

Dont think there is an anti HBF theme, just coincidence that he is the point of a few discussions?

I think also with BL being such a heavily fancied team pre-season there is always going to be extra scrutiny made over their perfomance.

Probably the same things could be happening at Mawson Lakes or Central United etc but the interest wouldn't be as great because they aren't a high profile/hype club this season expected to be pushing deep into finals this season.. does that make sense? :?

It's like safooty is full of Michelangelo Rucci's

Well he has coached 33% of the clubs in this division.

I still think that the Lodge will make the finals although Fitzroy are mounting a decent early claim on a spot, if they can knock off the Farmers at Rowe Park this week it will give them a huge early advantage.
I endeavoured to get out to Mawson Lakes on Saturday but ran out of time, a pretty admiralable effort by Mawson's by all reports, I thought Smithfield would've won by more.
The Lockley's result was kind of expected and the Units seem to be closer to the pack than what I thought earlier.
It actually seems a reasonably tight comp.

Fitzroy need to get up wins early because they close out the season with Brahma (A), Lockleys (H), Central United (A), Smithfield (A) then the Bye in Round 18 - on paper that's as hard a draw as any.

Forgot how cool it was too play on ANZAC day. Luckily the weather stayed away & it got a bit warmer than it was at the dawn service!

A heavy breeze meant that one end was favoured for scoring and the game was played in good spirits.

Things I learned, round 3.

1. Central United football club are definitely on the right track in regards to turning around past perceptions. A good bunch of kids with some solid leaders who aren't that far off the pace. They will develop into a handy team if they can stay together.
2. Division 6 is a tight affair in 2015. No real standouts or bottom teams like last season.
3. Tails never fails.

MBK - Having seen first hand both Brahma and Central United, do you think the Units can knock off the Lodge this week - or are they still a little off the pace?

If Units win then Lodge are in strife having seen IF v U.
No disrespect intended to either of those two sides.
