What is that supposed to mean? Anything that can improve facilities for our ammo clubs and their supporters is worthwhile.
So sick and tired of this brown paper bag bullshit. Amature League Football is way past this crap and deserve more respect for the very hard work the clubs put in for the community and footballers both male and female. Dinosaurs like you are past your use by date.

It refers to the previous post, which suggested the North Adelaide residents haven't seen Jimmy lurking around with a Coopers .... because it was in a brown paper bag. I'm sorry my attempt at humour failed. I'm involved with clubs that play against PAOC in football and cricket, so I'm excited they will get the opportunity to finally experience decent facilities at that ground.

Scores give a fair idea of PNU Brighton.

Having said that, given the hammering the umpires have got across the comp I thought they were very good.

Obviously disagreed on some decisions but they were consistent, clear and fair.

Doesn't add a huge amount, but offers some good context re the PAOC re-development

I dont really care am not a parklands karen but the point that such an incredibly rich institution could just purchase land, put a fully functional facility on it and profit further for the next 30 years

However theyll bulldoze one building and put up a new but this one will have a bar ? Does the old one? More drunks in the parklands then haha

Going to be a fun lead up to round 18 in this div.

Finals spots, relegation and leading goal scorer can all be split a number of ways here

Round 17 Districts v Uni’s could well decide the last relegation spot

Suspect the draw might be very valuable for Districts.

Also wouldn't say it's impossible for Brighton to fall into 9th.

Districts play Brighton in the last game of the minor round so that could well decide who else gets relegated.

If Uni knock off Brighton in round 16 I think Districts can turn the lights out then as I think UMJ will beat them in round 14.

SPOC v Brighton becomes a big game in the 2nd half of the ‘bye’ weekend. The Bombers win and I think they will be OK and press for the top 5. SPOC lose and they are in all sorts. Brighton have better % than TTG and SPOC. The heat is on and with 5 games to go anything could happen.

ROCS 7.13 PNU 11.13

Real arm wrestle of a game until PNU kicked 3 in the last 5 minutes of the third after which the heat went out of it a bit

Gullies by 11 points over Uni in what was an ill tempered game at times.

Districts were leading Unley by 3 goals in the 3rd quarter when the game was called off due to an ambo being called for an Unley player.
Wasn’t there so not sure of the details.

From the LL FB page

no structural damage, still under observation but likely to go home tonight & have concussion test with the experts tomorrow. He remembers all of the game.
Good result from a bad situation.

There was a marking contest in the N/W pocket infront of the temp facilities.
Player went to ground, looked like no incident

Ball works its way to the top of the goalsquare while the crowd was yelling out "UMPIRE STOP THE GAME" A few fans ran out to the player, and Port Districts get a free (or was it a mark, I cant remember). From when I heard the crowd calling for a stoppage to the game until a few seconds after it happened, the Unley player was convulsing on the ground.

Reports were concussion.

Hope the lad is better today and recovers well but sounds like a scary situation at the time for all involved.

Indeed sickening.. News today is that Jacob is resting at home. No apparent major issues but will get appropriate follow up.

So jo172, what do you think finals will look like given the current situation. Just interested in your thoughts. With the split round 14 now looking like it will depend on it being a dead rubber, what’s your gut feel. I believe the league are handling things amazingly well considering, but you’re on the front line and respected on here. Thoughts?

No inside word but I agree the timing of the bye throws a huge spanner in the works.

I suspect it will just go to a final four, potentially with the Grand Final to be played on Sunday the 19th to ensure ground availability (like what happened last year)

The final four also alleviates the risk (albeit only to PNU) of a top side having two week bye into a second semi.

Of course giving PNU and ROCS a bye before finals could be somewhat unfair on the other two finals sides in the event round 14 was to be completed before the finals. My instinct is that this is the lesser of two evils (but acknowledge this could be self serving).

Given how tight relegation will be I think it's imperative that we get through the full 18 games Covid permitting
