piccachu wrote:one last comment... at the end of the game i witnessed portland supporters threatening the umpires and then abusing the TTG players as they came off. firstly the umpires made some terrible decisions both ways but i think portland got the better of them. secondly why be sore losers and abuse the opposition after the game. it was a great game of football to watch so just be happy you were there to see it. maybe instead of abusing other ppl they could have been applauding their own team for a hard effort
no excuse for that stuff, its not on. as for your thoughts on the game, it is interesting to see what an outsider thinks, you stated that we are a very skilled side which is interesting as i have never heard us called that before. all three goals you talked about in the 3rd quarter were from skill errors leaving our defensive 50.
Griffiths for TTG is an absolute monster of a man would have to be close to 7 foot, number 10 was there best player imo Harding i think the name was and there full forward kicked a bag with no Draper to contend with.

Heard there was a nasty neck injury suffered to a young TTG player on saturday? Believe he has suffered some vertebrae damage after hitting his head on the ground when tacked.... tried walking off the oval and collapsed? hopefully he makes a full recovery

Hi Gents,
Can confirm the lad you talk of is trent meville , but hate to let facts get in the way of a good yarn , trent is fine , just suffered a concussion but apart from that he is fine and wont be missing any footy.

Must be true because there is a clearance in for that, only spoke to one of his close family members two weeks ago and he said he was very happy at Henly. Not sure what has changed? but will be a good pick up for Portland to get Birdy back.

Obviously a conflict has occurred or something and he has decided best not to stay. Geexe. If this is the case the club has the utmost common sense to do the right thing by a guy, not chain him to stay and force him to play geeze. Unless theres some kind of debt im sure itll clear cos were not like that at henley geeze why else wouldnt u stay with the current top div 1 side were your getting games derr
