What’s Launer doing this year? Still looking for the ball after his GF performance?

Yeah hearing the same.

Apparently had over 40 blokes at training last night....the numbers are there the talent isn't.

Looking at b grade results and they seem to playing with a full b grade each week comfortably so I don't think its a quantity issue.

Portland an example of not trying hard enough last year as well.

Most clubs that had the year off are struggling or nowhere near what they use to be. When 5 of the 6 Northern Areas Clubs wanted to go ahead, only one dug it's heels. Now it's paying the price.

In regards to Jamestown Peterborough struggling I think a few things need to be pointed out. They were struggling pre COVID so to say their decision to opt out last year has hurt them is not a very strong argument. They made a decision with the information they had at the time and stuck to it. Who knows, this year could end up being the same ? Their numbers are as good as they’ve been in the last 5 years and fielding 2 teams on a weekly basis has been very smooth. Their depth has been hurt Mainly due to a couple of employment relocations. Josh Weatherley is arguably the only player they have lost to north Clare due to covid.

In regards to spending money, I think you will find they tried very hard to lure a couple of recruits however, personal reasons became
More of a deciding factor than money. While on money! In my opinion too many clubs are loosing sight of the big picture on what football clubs are all about. We all want to win and I don’t know of too Many players that run out on the field to loose but there has become too much focus on winning the premiership and pushing the so called boundaries on player payments to achieve that. It has got out of hand and will be too little too late for a lot of
Clubs and their hard working volunteers to try and field a competitive team.

Their club is still exceptionally sound off the field, it’s just a challenging day on field most weeks, but from what I’ve heard and the little bit I’ve seen it has become more competitive as each week goes. It will turn around for them no doubt and my money is on them having a sustainable club well into the future for the next generation to play football

Heard along the grapevine, Scott Galbraith is apparently going to start kicking on his right foot to give the rest of the league a chance.

Southern Flinders smart, resting players before they play the real sides. Jamestown were a bit too rough on the weekend though.

I see BMW has started the season well. Have they recruited well or are there a good bunch of juniors coming through and performing?

Looking at Playhq they only had the one player worth points Izaac Boylan, gun footballer and even better cricketer, played Australian u/19's i believe.

Also had two senior colts playing.
