Bit quiet on here on weekends. Only workers during the week post.
What will happen with Eyre United after the mass exitos?
Tumby sighned a few apparently... although sooky Curtis has left apparently.
Ramblers strong again. Yeelana could be improvers. Cougers are unknown.

Centenary is bit slushy, needs some sun. Met Mal down there, will shift to high school if not upto scratch. Will see what Steve Heaven says too, apparently he's umpiring our game.

What a saga in the B's today. Obviously Centenary was too wet, we figured balls would go to shit early in the lush outfield of high school so we finished up playing out at Dorward. Tod River all out for 96 in the 33rd. Charlton were in front at 25 overs ( to constitute a match) and finished 8/98. Made it look hard but "a win is a win".

B grade teams will loose their points for playing A graders, if you played your last 2 in Agrade you couldnt play Bs on Saturday.
Did Troy Smith take 7 wickets for Port Lincoln? WHo won up there?

A's and B's both won easily. A's made 225 ... Sarge made 88 with 30's from Matt Smith and Adam Ryan. Bowled them out for about 115. Struddy excellent with 5fer.

B's were 7/100 and made 230! Bowled them out for about 130. Razzle 4fer.

If Stevie Heaven umpired B grade, that's a joke, as both Henderson Shield sides games had no umpires!

What's the go with the PLCA??? Cancel club cricket on Sat so Henderson Shield can be played (as apparently players wouldn't be available to play on Sat and Sun), then play the next Henderson Shield game on a Sat and club cricket on the Sunday. Meanwhile, players in the EP side will be leaving Lincoln on Sat night / Sun morning, thus unavailable to play for their club 2 weeks in a row!!

Someone please tell me where the consistency is here????

Consistency not a word associated with the 'decision makers' of the PLCA!!

Eags, Snozza - consistancy from the "decision makers" of the PLCA will only come when other clubs find someone to get up off there lazy arse and turn up to EVERY league meeting. You won't get consistency when you don't see the same person/people twice in a season at these meetings, that's the whole idea of being a club deligate, IT IS YOUR JOB TO TURN UP TO EVERY LEAGUE MEETING. I reckon all the Presidents should go as it has been obvious that those who do turn up don't pass on the information anyway. e.g. Charlton was the only club to get in list of players avail. for Hendo. Shield on time, purely because I as President go to EVERY meeting, and have done for about 4 years now!!!!

Interesting the stories you hear from a game of cricket. Got this nice little snippet from the Tasmans V SES B grade at Wangary.

SES bowler goes up heavily for an LBW appeal, fairly adjacent from the two people I was talking to. Super skipper Mahoney from Tasmans turns it down as umpire saying it pitched outside leg, later Mahoney approached Hogan who was square leg umpire and stated he thought it was out. Hoges being Hoges goes straight to the bowler in question and told him what Mahoney said. Shocking sportsmanship Mahoney, hang your head in shame. With the lack of umpires the last thing we need is player-umpires cheating!!

I did not take 7, where did that come from. Grub spreading little stories probably....

bystander, my pure genious call was taking the piss, you'll get the hang of things though with a little more experience on here though, hang in there....

Totallt agree with you bystander, no one takes these meetings seriously.
NOw it is up to the host assoc. to supply umps , dont forget that! Henderson Shield LAW.
Port Linc CA supplies its own umps and pays them $50.
Blueys tip about Luke Strudwick was spot on the money.... knows his cricket!
Can confirm rm.... clubs will protest over Bgrade qaulification laws after the weekends games.

Hasnt been umpires in Bgrade all year has there? Why you all complaining?
What was Flinders' Second eleven like? Someone said it was a bunch of kids. How did C Reidy go as captain? Monkey could have captained that side to victory!

No RR, I'm saying Mahoney admitted to Hoges he cheated!! Players don't have to walk, umpires do have to be honest. Massive difference, walking is totally up to the individual, umpires don't have the choice. Disgrace, should be stripped of the captaincy.....

Umpires make mistakes and to hope every decision made in the B grade is a correct one would be unfair. But to admit to someone you've turned down an appeal you thought was out is fairly rude and a blemish has now been cast on his character.

3 cheers for Charlton then eh bystander!! Hip hip .....

We were informed when the sides had to be in by and I phoned them through to Leonie Fielder well before. If you wanna make a big deal about getting a few names in the paper then that's fine by me.

Grub .... if that's the case then GF should have asked PL to supply umpires if they couldn't find any themselves.

At the Tumby v EE association match... they umpired their own game... I think we are unbeleivably lucky to have our own umps. Got to remember these country assoc dont have the voulenteers or umps that we do. Obviously they just thought it was the going thing to umpire your own game.
Gee wcp you have got into the super skipper....pressure on them, they have to win the double this year As and Bs.
