Richard - Long way from the Plains of Kyancutter, How would you know?

PS: Was at Christies on Saturday! Only about 22 players, Christies had to give us
10 players in first 2 Quarters. Browny had last shot on goal at the 40meters
and couldn't make the distance.

As for the shorts, Sorry their was 45 at training - including Supporters & Committee!
Never stipulated they had to be training.

talking crap again signman, chrisites gave us 3 blokes for the first two quarters and then bays made up the last four. The 3 blokes they gave us were pretty good footballers. What would you class yourself as a supporter, committe or player?

Sorry Cuzzy only 3 players then! Def Supporter & if my foot (Broken) mends - Player!

Same way you got the Kangy boys to Karoonda ;) I recruited 2 of them to pongy in the first place. Its all good with myself & pongy mate, my family has always been apart of the club & always will be. Im grateful they gave me the opportunity to coach A grade footy. The boys just left because the wanted a change. Nice try anyway :)

Do the Pongy footy community still feel the same about you tho??? If they were leaving anyway then thats completely ok, but if you've actively chased them, then I would imagine they would have some problems with that. Home clubs are usually off limits yes.

Dunno you'd have to ask them, to say no one would have a problem would be wrong for sure. I still have drink with them & i'll go watch/support them if i get a chance. Like i said i got Sterz & Tomo to pongy. Cant say i actively chased them, they met Sam & I once. Its funny i have to justify myself to someone whos had more clubs than Tiger Woods though

Come on mate, I dont have a problem with it. Was just wondering if you were coping any heat is all. Tiger only needs his Driver & his putter by the way, so 2 clubs isn't bad 8)

I believe they have not had under 30 on the training track all pre season and the depth is awesome there this year. lot of 20-23 year old recruits that including a young ruckman that scored alot of mail medal votes at Crystal Brook and an association on baller from Mt Gambier. Also just heard Tim Heath has signed a clearance back and Dan thomasson is expected back approx round 3. Mudlarks may surprise

Approx 50+ senior players in total have trained at pongy so far. Alot of clearance so far are kids (U/17's), which is great as they will have a very good coach in Sarge. They have picked up some 0 pointers in the A's but still need a couple of talls. They'll hopefully be around the top 5. Tim Heath played on the weekend but not sure about Danno though. Hopefully he does go back.

I see Linc Jeffery is gettng cleared back. Pongy will be installing several mirrors in the change rooms as we speak. The 2008 cleo batchelor nominee and a former house mate of mine will have the pongy boys front & center fighting for his left overs!!

Im pretty sure wow that only one of the clearances gone through to pongy is still an u/17
and thats a young lad from willunga
the rest are all seniors.

I currently play for Myponga & these posts have been fairly accurate, pongy have recruited rather well with plenty of young running midfielders. Only 1 of the clearances so far is a senior colt (J. Doe from willunga). Height may be a problem, but young ruckman from crystal brook looks good on the track and yes, tim heath did sign a clearance last night.

I dont reckon theres any hard feelings towards Deeks, he has a job 2 do at Jervois and saw an oppurtunity to snag a couple of quality footballers. most players at Pongy were more disappointed with the players who jumped ship but at the end of the day there still good mates that we enjoy a beer with. No doubt that tomo and wack will retun in the near future and will be good inclusions when they do.

What about Modra & Ryan Smart?

Keith had only four players from last years premiership side, Redden,Francis,Makin and
Llewellyn in their trial against Creeks last Saturday. They did well to field two full teams though and were competitive in both grades.
According to Modra's mates he will be playing with PAOC on the odd occasion this year and Ryan Smart isn't playing due to a bad back.

The plot thickens....

S Fox to Victor :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: :ymparty: The S. Fox saga finally draws to an end. But his brother cleared to play at Goolwa, interesting. He always said he'd play wherever little
Ronnie ventured. What's going on there?
I saw a clearance from Victor in the SAAFL office for S. Fox, looks to be moving on already to Glenunga FC.

R. Fox is still overseas I believe and may not be back this season? Good to see the saga over, I'm sure Victor would be happy to have a 0 point player such as Shane there - could be classed as a replacement for L. Bell?

is shane a sure thing at victor? he trained with us at glenunga and we were in negotiations with him. His phone must be ringing off the hook this time of year. Uncontracted players of his calibre are hard to come by this year. Will do plenty more than just replace L.bell, with all due respect to the lad he is no shane fox. Expect big things from him this year. Is honestly a wasted talent, should be pushing for a league spot somewhere with his fitness, professionalism and footy smarts.
