LF i had a quick chat with Popey last Friday night and he was loving umpiring. Great to have him i reckon and will be a very good umpire.

Doesnt like the Lime Green tho, reckons he will be in the orange in no time (i hope he stays in the lime for a bit more, it suits him  )

Sounds like a good one LF. How did the new guys Ewer and White go?

Unfortunately, neither were able to make it.

typical one bloke in everyclub, doesnt play just has a vip pass to the bbq van and sits on the sidelines telling people how he could do so much better. The facts are mate that the majority of people on the commitee busts there a%$ getting work done for the players and the club and probably could not give two f%$k's of what you think. I love it how blokes rave on about how good they are and what they would be doing but when it comes to the crunch wouldnt even put there hand up. You have lost my respect signman and a a lot of other blokes around the club.

Dosn't play? BBQ van? I like Pies! As for putting my hand up!
Who going to paint the new extention, who is busy completing Signage & Garments at cost for the club. I'm the last remaining player from our 1986 Junior colts premiership side at the club. Don't see too many other supporters watching at training or 9.30 on a saturday morning. You are right majority are busting their ass. but to get anywhere as a club it's a 100% combined effort from Commitee, Coaching staff & Players. I've only ever seen this happen a couple times in the past 24 years at E.B.F.C.
ie 1988, 1989 & 1996. don't get ya kickers in a knot cuzzy. I'm only calling it as i see it.

nice, talking to a few differnt blokes from a few clubs they have all said popey will be a quality umpire this year.

I think all clubs will be happy if they see Popey show up to umpire the game thay are playing, he will be very gd for the league. Lets hope the other umpires take on board how he umpires and follow his lead.

Rooblood if your new to Victor how do you 'Thats Popey'??

BJ, Zac looked good I think the Jones boys and Chief appreciated some quality delivery in to the forward line. white is still in the process of relocating from Darwin so he couldnt be there last night. Others missing were Yeomans x 2, Ferguson, D.Hirst, Wilson.

Yeomans x 2? Surely Ben is going to stick it out at South. If hes playin League trials and is 18 yrs old (according to Cuzzy hes a draft prospect).

Yes Zac is one of the better kicks of the footy ive played with, finds the ball with painful ease aswell, a good pickup there.

You wont see young Ben Yeomans at all as SA are very happy with his development. So his brother is not heading to the spencer gulf with work commitments.?

We have seen Ben plenty of times during pre season but i hope he does have a crack at sanfl/afl or whatever it may be. Are you suggesting he will play league footy this year shoeboy? Its a tough gig training 4-7 times a week to play reserves
