Surely that's not fair on a young lad missing out on a finals appearance to someone who hasn't played a game for the side all year or even been in the town.

The kid that will miss it (if it does happen) would most likely be an under 17 so would get a chance to play anyway

That's not so bad then.

I would have liked to have seen it to be honest. No one in this town can stop Yoey

The last page and a half is potentially the greatest amount of drivel I have read on these pages since Panther was a Ranger. ;)
The only way it could even remotely occur would be if Yoey was still wearing black and white.

Enough with the fancy and back with the facts...why didn't Binns play last week?

How have you all seen the umpiring this season and who would you rate as the 1,2,3 best umpires this season and who should do the main games in the upcoming finals series.

They are obviously struggling for numbers, but it is a hard gig and I can understand why its hard to attract past players to do it given the abuse out there.

If you were Steve Heaven who would you have as your 1,2,3 in order.

Interesting game tomorrow.. I haven't seen enough of the Tigers to pass judgement on them but speaking to a few blokes they think that they will take it up to Waybacks.. Hopefully their young guys don't get overawed.. Going to be warmish and the fittest side might get the choccies.
I heard Waybacks have a few injury concerns with Hunt ( calf ) Mckenzie ( twinged hammy on Tues ) and Monty being overseas for 5 weeks so very underdone... Any truth BTB?
Will Rossco take the risk and player injured players?
Anyway still think the finals hardened Demons will get over the line by 2-3 goals...

Demons to get on top late in the game with experience and superior fitness telling the tale late. Expecting the Tigers to be right there for 3/4 of the game.
Who's playing in the reserves?

3, 3 and 2 goals have been the margins so far, we're getting closer.

Footywise, you think Waybacks would have superior fitness? Based on?

Bostons v Rangers in ressies

Based on the way they finish games and have some fit players there. I think they have the slight advantage in that area. Just my opinion.

Historically Rossco doesn't play injured players. If they cant train flat out on the Thursday then they don't get considered...don't think anything has changed there.
Would be surprised if Monty plays!
Think both sides get a tick for fitness...will be a good game and we know we need to play well to win.
Both sides with full lists, no excuses!

On the MM reckon again it will be between Francis & Maxfield.
From Sporting Pulse this is the tale of the tape:

Player: Francis...........Maxfield
Games.......13................15
Top 6............8................9
Best .............3.................3
2nd..............1................. 3
3rd...............1..................0

I like Nathan Mcdowall from Rangers, he was in their best most weeks played around the centre & wouldve been their leading goalkicker.
BTB what would his figures like Francis/Maxfield show up as?

Mallees to go top in the A grade, & Waybacks in the B's, Mallees have had a habit of going out in straight sets in the Bs over the last few years.

Buzz played all 15 games and similar results. No doubt he will poll well and will have few teammates to take votes from him but not convinced they have won enough for him to win. Comes home with a rush and definitely top 5
