Very promising young chap.

Looked alright at training the other night! Could also be 2 Dunn's lining up at the tigers this year

Whats the general feeling on this from the football public? Should the tigers get special treatment?

I would love to see the tigers become more competitive but rules are rules. It looks like most clubs will agree to a compromise but I don't think they will get the full 31 they are after. The may get met half way at best is what I am hearing and maybe allowed 26 pts. Im sitting on the fence on this one

Won't be much movement from me this year mate, my body needs a bit of a break.
Hoping to possibly assist Rossco Clarke a bit with some game analysis / player development stuff. But it would be rather low key i think.
Just something to keep me involved a touch and also be handy on my coaching resume for later in life.
Family & Work commitments need more of my time at the present.

Will be an interesting year in PLFL with the district sides recruiting well and the city sides not so much(that i know about), more than likely even things out a bit from the last 2-3 years.

Personally I have no problems with Bostons getting a leg up from the league, in previous years other clubs have got that "leg up" by either spending big or 3rd party deals. I believe the points system will work fine, but Bostons were just too far behind the 8 ball to start with.

My only issue is that this points system was agreed to by all the clubs as a way to even out the comp.
But if that takes a year or two then I think thats the way it was designed to work.
Its not meant for a bottom side to go top in one swoop or Vice versa
If the Tigers can make 3rd or so this year then theyre heading in the right direction.
30pts would get you ten absolute gun EP footballers...probably a bit much in one season

Only 3 night games this season?
Do we under utilise the option of night footy or is 3 games per season (1 game per club) enough ?

Tell me how they will be able to recruit ten ABSOLUTE GUNS ?!! Even big dollars won't be able to click ya finger and get 10 ep guns - give them 31 and get the league competitive!

I'm not too fussed about our points allocation but I thought the same, you can't just get 10 guns because of points allocation or even money.

Hell, Souths would have won the last umpteen flags if that was the case.

Time will tell how the points system works.
It looks like the tigers will play finals football this season and can have a shot at the premiership over the next few years with continued improvement of that young list. Good to see Brett staying on coaching, he deserves some wins and enjoyment over the upcoming season for all the tough times and hard work he has put in.

So if the Tigers are playing finals this year who are the 2 teams who miss out?
I think this year will be the closest and most competitive for some years...

It will be an even comp one would think this year but to pencil in the Tigers for finals on the back of a clearance page is a bit much.

I personaly think there will be enough improvement in the tigers to see them make 4th place, perhaps they are still lacking some key position players and rucks but have plenty of runners. I think Tasman are a clear standout with the peckers to improve with Stiffy back. I am thinking Waybacks and South wont be as strong as last year and am going to say marble range will miss finals especially with no Parker.
I will say Souths and Rangers will miss finals but am looking forward to a much more even comp this season.

Rangers may be a dark horse this season if everyone is too busy looking for improvement in Bostons, Rangers have recruited very well.
Is Parker a definite out?
