WCP, Macca was a very good player but best in last 20 years!!! Mallee's have had some superstars over the journey who would give Macca a touch up and Craig Matena was one of the best to play in this league. Hard, tough, quick and retired in mids 20s due to knees. Got nearly 70 possys one day against Souths at Centenary, back when the league was very strong.

Mind you WCP, like this forum, it is freedom of speech and you are entitled to your opinion!!!

sounds like that everywhere eppie, not too many recruits around. Season may be similar to last year. Waybacks will announce a handy recriut in the next couple of days, they should be up there again this year, soft tissue injuries during the winter months may rob them of the double chance again... but with a full side they are Flag Favourites.
20 years wcp..... cmon mate.... Joey Burgoyne, Fabian Davey, Harry Miller.
70 possies scoob... did he play As and Bs?

Jackamarra best i have ever played against. Just had a bit too much reach for me. Great pack mark and skills to match any onballer. Kicked 149 goals one year & missed a few games through injury. Would dish off gimme goals to team mates just to make the opposition look stupid. There was a full back from MR though who kept in under control in finals in the mid 90's, his name escapes me.

Mckenzie probably the most underrated player (outside the club) that the demons have had. Multiple B&F, State Country but not one of our household names. My best 6 from the past 10 years would be Orchard, George, Goodwin (any one of 3), Romeo, Kim Waters and Hopkins. For sheer game turning ability Romeo would be the pick of the last 10 years. Hollitt was very good but only played 6 games.

What about Jason McEvoy for Waybacks? Think Boyd Hogben is the name your looking for Boags, kept him to 10 one day and we gave him our best, no joke!!

Can't split Mcevoy & Kayser. Charlie would have to be up there for Rangers.
