Correct, Koster is very unlikely to play this year.

Yank have picked up 3 or 4 quality players...pretty much the max under the points system
Doubt if Koster will still be playing.
Could not get any names
They have been active and I guess, that even requesting to have a night game, is a good positive step for them.
We are looking forward to meeting them under lights at McLaren in about the second round.

At the local watering hole On Australia Day and the word was that the Tigers have signed a ruckman in the name of Paul Scholler who played for the Vics in the country championships, Also have had talks with a few under 19 from Port that are going up the grade and might be on the fringe. A guy called Chad Cross who played a couple of yrs ago looks to be returning.

Who are the guys from Port looking to play there?

Any news on Nick Warren and a teaching post in the country?
I believe he is teaching in Whyalla but will probably fly back to play for the Creeks.
Keiren Buckley is being courted to drive/fly from Mt Gambier as well.
Wow, big efforts to play each week there, both from the club $$ wise and the players! I had heard Ciaran Buckley was going to play for the creeks but had some mates coming with him but with the points system they couldnt all fit so hes signed to play with a div 2 ammo side. Could be very very wrong tho as i heard this about a month ago.

With Dellatore back, Warren staying on if Buckley returns the Creeks would surely start favourite with Feast, Sherwood and Moore added to last years 3rd place side.
Could do.. they'v tried to buy a few flags the last few years but been unsuccessful.. don't kno if that'll change..??
Willunga have Steele, Hams, Haskett, Portlock, Genovese, Baxter, Dobson, Guitnick, Ryan, Thomas averaging at least $250 a week, which adds up to a minmum of 50 grand a year the club has to find.
No club in the competition spends that kind of money and keeping the group together has been an outstanding job by the Willunga management, but at a cost, so the other clubs have to spend to compete.
But 50 grand a year would be a low estimate and definitely a minimum, so Willunga supporters need to look in their glass house before chucking stones at other clubs for trying to be competitive against them.

TC did you jus grab a number out of the air, is this what you believe these blokes are worth?? No Willunga player is on $250 a game. So to be averaging that is impressive if not one is on $250 let alone above it, my maths is fairly solid and I reckon if noone is on or aboive $250 in that group, tough for them to average it across the board!

Im of the same opinion TC, if the only way clubs can attract players is by offering $$, then offer the $$. Its only good for the comp and the standard of the competition rises!!!

Maybe u throwing the stones could stop tho, as ur figures are well off!!!!

Seems as tho there are a few clubs in Whyalla after his services but as of yet no confirmations that he has signed for anyone.

Was the original post edited, because from what I can read he did say "I know for a fact the Gooch would be on more than $250 a game."
Then you state, "if u knew for a fact u would say i know for a fact that gooch is in more that 250 a game"...I know it's early but i'm confused! :? :? :?

Come on ladies, how many times does BJ have to tell you Wilunga dont pay players. They just play for the love of the game =))
On a serious note congrats to my good mates Carnaz & Ness on the healthy arrival of another footballer, little Dion. :partyman:
