Hi I have been looking at this forum for a few weeks now, I am no longer involved with footy but used to play B grade for Strathalbyn back when Linton Bishop and Rob Donaldson had the top coaching position.
I noticed last year they went well but I have not heard a great lot about them for 09, does anyone know in's/out's for the roosters and how they may go?

What did you think of Bishop as a coach?

Good to hear Toddy Dellatorre will be returning to the Creek in a couple of weeks time after a few months working over in Warrnambool.

Great news for Creeks, Toddy is not only a great player but great bloke to have around. If they can get Warren and Buckley to return for weekend duties with the new guys added Creek are looking better in 09!

I'm pretty sure Timmy's suiting up for Border Districts in the KNTFL so he'll be pretty handy for them. He lives up there these days so it makes sense.

Great news for the creeks. Toddy is a super player and a damaging half back with that precise left foot kick of his!!!

Any news on Nick Warren and a teaching post in the country?

I believe he is teaching in Whyalla but will probably fly back to play for the Creeks.
Keiren Buckley is being courted to drive/fly from Mt Gambier as well.

Wow, big efforts to play each week there, both from the club $$ wise and the players! I had heard Ciaran Buckley was going to play for the creeks but had some mates coming with him but with the points system they couldnt all fit so hes signed to play with a div 2 ammo side. Could be very very wrong tho as i heard this about a month ago.

With Dellatore back, Warren staying on if Buckley returns the Creeks would surely start favourite with Feast, Sherwood and Moore added to last years 3rd place side.

Could do.. they'v tried to buy a few flags the last few years but been unsuccessful.. don't kno if that'll change..??

Over those years quite a few. Im not slagging Willunga mate you know that. Baxter, Carnas, Thomas, Portlock, the Taylors, Carps, Bruiser Bull, Sarge, Usher, Kurtz, Dobson, Boyd Dyer etc & im betting a few juniors that returned from South didnt play 4 the love of it either eg. Bone, J.Far kas etc. Dont worry i'll be back again this year to drink your free piss after you win no.6 if you guys will let me

No BIG cash there WoW. Yes there are some recruits there, there are others in your list that went to Willunga on their own accord and the amount of juniors playing for us in the seniors now is very high. In the end im not fussed if a club pays all its players megabucks, are they there for the right reasons? (football wise) Do they love the club? Probably not. Will they stick around if the $$ dry up? Probably not. Very general statements but i would say more often than not true.

Dont worry mate a couple of those boys were on solid coin. Either way im a fan of what Des Mcgowan & co have done at your club, they have created a culture that will keep them around the mark 4 awhile yet.

A couple of years back (Centenary year)they were that confident that a company had almost printed up their Tees & stubby holders before the event.

Rodney Love, Ash Manuel and others played that year, I believe they threw the local bank and the winery at Cupido too!
