Hay Haje just havin' a dig mate we all know that opinions posted on this site should be taken with a pinch of salt we are not worried about the old ball being used and we enjoyed having a drink with you guys at the club after the game and supporting your establishment you guys were pretty under the weather on Saturday and i'm betting next time we meet it will be no cakewalk. I thought you were pretty unlucky not to take a couple of scalps some good nuts were bowled.

Hey rumor monger any ideas who changed the scoreboard out at the Gary the Rangers wont like that too much just in time for the big show too someone should get on to that????

Have you had a look at the complex BTB? Interested on your thoughts. Was hoping they would do more to create atmosphere at ravendale (ie. contour banking) as it still looks like playing in the middle of a paddock. Centenary still the best oval in lincoln by far.

Good to hear from you eppie.. Have the fish been biting lately.. I agree about Ravendale, should change its name to "Atmosphere Park" Be lovely out there in the middle of June with a howling southerly..
They need to improve the surrounds to give it a better feel.

When does pre-season start for us in the veterans category?

Sorry Fellas... still think that thing in the last is a monty. Will get ya out of trouble.
Ravendale will never be the best oval in PL, it may have the best surface, 2 story 'hockey viewing facility'. It has no atmoshere whatsoever, gets all the weather and is the worst decision the PL Council has ever made....wheres Burf now???
The thirty people at the top of the hockey establishment might get a good view but everything else is around the boundry... should be great for all these 'international events'. Close the gates ...capacity 1000... WTF

haven't had a real good look but from the plans that was always going to appear a problem. Ravendale always has been a vast expanse and lacked the atmosphere of Centenary. Raised embankments would have been good, and a few trees wouldn't hurt either. Suppose we look at it as work in progress with hopefully the council will continue to make improvements as the need/ urge arises.

RR certainly an imposter - isn't it time for an imposter from another club! Hopefully the council will take what seems to be the majority opinion on board and do something sooner rather than later about somehow improving the atmosphere out there. I have had a walk through the complex and it seems to be a really good facility for local footy where crowds are small. However agree grub that with a crowd the oval itself will give no protection against the elements and will be crap for watching footy.

G'day all, just been away on hols, back to the real world on Monday tho. We have been busy here haven't we.
Firstly - Haje - Far as i can see use an old ball- a win is still a win,- here's an idea for the next game though, bring out the tennis ball, each team brings an esky, every player (unless under age of course!!!) must have a beer in hand at all times, (might as well make some cash while we're there!!), on the road or in the water is 6 and out, and we'll play beach cricket on the foreshore!!
Secondly - RR - Did you notice that Mr Burfitt has abanded his "vision". Why do you think that might be? Possibly he could see it going down hill fast like the same one he set up in Mount Gambier, THAT NO-ONE USES ANYMORE because they can't afford it!! Would also like to thank council for there $500 non neg. purchase of our nets at Ravendale, have put it in the kitty for new ones, (cost to build the same new, $8000 - $9000).

You obviosly think Tod River would be better suited to backyard or beach cricket bystander!!!! Maybe i COULD GET A GAME
What sums up the council is the $150,000 they spent on those few sleepers layed out next to the town jetty.... and called it a boardwalk... WTF... Expect some different candidates at the next council election in November.... cant keep putting up with this.
White Knight - just an interesting issue to disscus and as Haje is there safooty rep we talk to him about it, Im sure he can handle it!!!!
