Bahahaha... that's a good one Cuzzy. I think you'll find he rucked about 10 minutes at the start of the game and after RMFL went up by 4 goals they threw Blummy in there and Philppy went to the backlines for the rest of the game. So i'd have to say you are stretching the truth a little there!

Howd that game finish up? ;)

Don't remember....

Dont be like that Panfa, the good guys won!!! :supz: \:D/

How did Blummy go getting his knuckles off the ground to try and win a tap? :(|)

He was too busy throwing dirty punches/elbows to worry about winning a tap!!

Yeah that is a good point, Baylis copped a fair corky by another Encounter Bay player and was forced to be Trevor Rigney's step ladder for the next 2 quarters!!!

Heard last night that Bomber Ryan has officially re signed with the demons for 09, can anyone confirm?
Only asking due to speculation that he may have taken the year off..
Great news if true!

Would kill any chance of the gap being eroded between Willunga & the rest of the league if Bomber signed back on, but how do they structure a forward line with so many talls - hams, thomas, guitnik, ryan, etc, etc (big problem)
Might aswell write them down for 6 on the trot.

LF, any news on recruiting at the Saints? Rumours of signings on monday night? Z. Ewer still on the market but will he fit under points system? Services aren't coming cheap though.

Don't forget that Ben Thompson and Eamon Bull are still sniffing around the place and the rumours about Pollard from Morphett Vale persist. The Willunga forward line might be:

Guitink (112) Hams (132) Bull (115)
Ryan (100+) Thompson (112) Pollard (100+)

There was a rumour of Matt thomas jumping ship to play for coin somewhere wasn't there?
Would he be ruing his decision now it seems there is a distinct lack of opportunity among the talls?
Perhaps the bloke who hinted at in-house fighting within the Demons could be spot-on, it all could be unravelling with limited opportunities & a number of new 'blow-in's' slipping in inconspicuously in the attempt to grab a flag (or another flag, in some of those big names cases), or will it just up the ante over pre-season? Some of the big names fighting for their spot may come into the 2009 season fitter than ever.

throw thomas onto a wing with haskett on the other... or make the new guy earn his keep down back first year in??? im sure he would love it.
Surely there would be a marks up competition at the start of the year, first bloke to mark, full forward, 2nd bloke, chf and so on untill the last guy left is rotating off the pine. im a freakin genius. ;)

Matt Thomas doesnt need the coin. Hes got too much money as it is and isnt afriad to spend it!! :D You forget that Matt Thomas in 2007 went to Stawell as the resting Ruckman for the state country side and played a very solid game there. His 2008 season was injury interrupted to say the least and will definitely play CHF and ruck in 2009 at the club so he wont be ruing the decision to stay.
Theres no illusions about who plays where at Willunga, people will earn their spot and are fully aware of the competition in our own club for positions and the ones willing to do the work will be rewarded!

Grape Ape Bull and Thompson will not return haha, as funny as that would be as Bully and Thommo between them have retired more times than i care to count! However their last retirements were their last i assure you ;)

Im bored, as im sure others are of all the Willunga talk. We have some young guys that are going to make the next step to A grade next season, as all other clubs do and once again. Nothing is done and dusted so the talk of Willunga having the 09 premiership sewn up in December 08 is just plain stupid!!!!

BJ, has K Rudd approached you for a diplomatic posting to the current world flashpoint Mumbai? With the diplomatic prowess you are displaying on this forum, I believe you are the man to diffuse the situation.

Look deep inside yourself, isn't there a little voice in there saying "we are going to sh!t the 09 premiership in"!

Sadly Kevin hasnt called, and i dare say he wont due to my countless nights in strip clubs, seedy bars and the occasional visit to the brothel! ;) I can see the political scandal already!

No voices dugong, lot of effort to be put in before that can happen. If anyone was thinkin that then Baz and the rest of his coaching staff would nip that in the bud very quickly!

You will all be happy to know that plans and a quote for re-vamped visitors rooms have been done at Goolwa. There is a slight danger they'll be better than ours!!! Now we ask the question: Do we spend thousands of $$$ on people we dont like? Hopefully VH, Bays, Myponga and Yank are also looking in to renovations.

Wouldn't that make Kev want to call you?!

I agree it's too early to call next years premiership, but any bookie that doesn't have Willunga installed as early short priced favourites is a fool!

Bays have started theirs now. Will be the best in the league when completed. Need to be, as the club has an agreement with the SANFL for the next few years to host a match on the Easter Saturday. This year it is South and Norwood. Will be superb to watch all the Great Southern boys run around for the Panthers. We a have a few.

Thats not only good for Bays its good for South. Thats at least 1 match every year where they have an opportunity to break the magical 1000 people through the turnstile barrier!!!
