I think Jez is only in talks with only half a dozen  I know of at least 3 southern league teams chasing him.

Dale Ellis would be a 4 point player and would well and truly tip them over the points limit however it is very possible. Wouldnt be cheap and would dominate the GSFL if it happened!

He is one year into a two year deal with South Adelaide so I can't see him getting released untill 2010. That brings up the point of if he was to play say 3 games for Victor in 2010 then the remainder of the season in the SANFL what would his points value be to Victor in 2011?

He would be a 4 point player for those 3 games for Victor in 2010
In 2011 he would be a 3 pt player.
Each season a player loses one point
2011 that is a long way away. Victor could be broke by then :)

Heard Dale has signed and South will let him go. A big get and it is a credit to Saunders for getting the club up and running again!

Not just Victor Magoo, all the other 9 clubs could be broke trying to keep up with Willunga. If you don't recruit the competition will continue to be lopsided with the one team dominating. Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

Thats fantastic news. Where does this leave Victor points wise though with Pitman (3 points) Joraslafsky (3 points) Luke Ellis (2 Points) and Dale Ellis (4 points) to go with previous point scoring players that were at the club in Jurek and Kenyon, forgive me if ive forgotten anyone.

McPail - 1, Reeve - 2, Stewart - 2 ?

Looks as though Victor will have a pretty strong B grade team in 09 perhaps! :)

A few teams in the competition may be going to test out the appeals system on the points. Precedents will be set, it is a very dangerous system.
Isn't McKinlay worth a couple of points?

i do remember langhorne buying up big a couple of years back to try and win in their centenary year or what ever it was, and didnt manage it will be interesting to see what happens this year if all the recruits at victor are correct, and also intersting with the points be funny if you gotta pay someone 200 or 300 a game to play reserves

Victor are celebrating 125 years in 2010 (or so i believe) so will be looking to atleast register as many players as possible this year and for their points to be reduce for '10 so more recruiting can be done, if it means 1 paid player may need to play reserves, i don't think it would fuss them to much, 2010 is their year. Would be interesting if they did.
