I reckon Kym Smith would go close.

Can anyone provide Smith's stats?

100 years from now people won't remember the tumble punts or the crab claws. All they'll see is the stats on paper and think 'gee that Baxter must have been good!'

Trev Rigney was never going, he runs with the Jervois coach twice a week.

Unless they are juniors or ex players with no points there are not too many points left

14 pts available
Just say

2 from The emus 6 pts
1 from GSFL 3 pts
1 from WBFL 2 pts (Coach)

Plus any outstanding points from last year
Tim Kenyon has 1
Chris Jurek has 2
Neil Reeve has 2

That gives them 16 points

It does not add up unless they have lost either of kenyon, jurek or reeve

Saunders won't play

makes four players in, at least 2 out
Coach may be worth 1 and a half players if his knee holds up, cos he is very, very, very good
net result

I thought a player/coach did not attract any points?? Who is the 1 from GSFL worth 3pts?

Is Jurek a possibility to head back to Goolwa? and McKinlay, how many points is he to victor, 2?

McKinlay is no points as far as I see it as he was an U/17 in 2007 at McLaren
Although I am pretty sure that Strath has brought up at the Board Meetings that in 2009 U/17's will attract points if they go to another club.
Whether that be retrospective I got NFI

Funny that Strath was the club to bring that up ,considering they spent half of last season not declaring the correct points for players (with no penalty)

Yes my mistake just found out a coach is worth points, thanks for clearing that up.
Sounds like a few interesting weeks ahead, it will be interesting to see how clubs go about things with the points system and what players show up at what club! Everyone will start training soon so we should hear names linked with certain clubs then.

didnt jurek come from south and therefore would still be a 3pt player from 4 or is it a certain grade

Jurek was a 3 pt player in 2008 so will become a 2 pt player in 2009, the same as Reeve

I was not aware that Strath had done anything wrong.
Their issue is the poaching of U/17's.

Be interesting to see how the new president goes with U/17's points or moratorium as is the case in the SFL

Sam Jones, McKinlay x2, Campbell, McCardle and Jurek all back at Saints in 09. All zero point players, which speaks volumes of their junior set-up and makes up for the losses of Fergusson and Dycer. Fergusson may have a re-think? Any recruiting on top of that will push the club up the ladder, without getting carried away.
