Back to Baxter... I didn't realise he had 7 senior flags! Add that to 2 mail medals! Surely those stats make him the greatest player in GSFL history! Can anyone name someone with a better record?

Talking a different class of footballer now. Smith was the ultimate footballer - flags, medals, association, state country and tough.
McLeod from Creek about to sign with Strath?

Is that fact or just what you have heard along those creek grape vines about Ben TC? I thought he was very happy at the Hawks, what would his reason for leave be?? Maybe Limb can shed some light on this?

Thought he signed a two year contract last year in exchange for the creek paying for a knee op he needed.

Jimmy Toone is the most overated player in the history of the Willunga Football Club.
Hes got 2 premierships because of the players around him. If the ungrateful bugger wants to go and chase coin, let him go and get found out and watch him come crawling back
Come on WoW thats a little over the top. Hes a good young player and contributed well in both seasons. Theres no blokes being carried at Willunga, its a pretty even side across the board.
Sorry BJ :ymhug: I never said he doesnt contribute but he has been blessed by players around him.

Ben McLeod won't be playing for Strath next year.. he's mates with a few of the Strath boys and he likes revving them up when he gets a few beers under his belt by telling them he's gonna have a kick with the roosters and this is obviously the source of a few rumours. It's amazing how quickly things spread..

Didn't play against or see Kym Smith play, but have heard how good he was. All the above, also describe what Baxter has done and how he plays. One way to set them apart is if somebody could confirm if Kym Smith could consistantly hit targets.....

Absolutely no doubt that Ben is a very good player and has achieved much in his Football Career.
The Greatest Player....means no body better as a player
Mail medals are individual awards and having won two puts him in the top echelon
6 GsFL Flags are team awards plus the one SFL Flag means he has played with some good teams, of which he was a crucial factor
Very, very good player absolutely. Greatest probably not, but certainly right up there

Individual honours and premierships are gold but do not make a great player?

Kym Smith is to Strath what Baz Clarke is Pongy, both hard tuff awesome footballers in their day. As for bestever the debate could go on forever. Chris Rowntree was brillant, invented the no look handball, an Andrew Jarman clone (slow as Jimmy Willams) but could get to the contest before anyone else,2 premierships, 4 -5 mail medals
