Sounds like you know a bit more about these boys than most of us Beneath Clouds. I think Alex is a great proposition but in our backline this year im not sure where at full strength you would have played him. He was certainly in the mix down there but in the end he was competing for spots with 3 Southern Districts players and a 225 game veteran who is a star. With some changes about the place there will be openings, up to him whether he gets on board and pushes that extra bit to get there.

Alexs time will come and he learnt a lot this year and will continue to next year. Best of luck to him if he goes up to the cold, wet Hills footy and tries to develop his game but i personally cant see how he will be better for it.

played on alex in the reserves early on in the year i assume he is only young, but he killed us and me i would have thought he would be starting in the a grade next year after getting a taste this year and another pre season under the belt, did he have knee injury this bj i thought i saw him wearing a knee brace??

Hereforthebeer
With a preseason under YOUR belt you might catch him!!!!

Maybe less pressure on your belt as well?? :drinkers:

fair harsh there! how u support those facts when he has two premeirships at age 18?

Hes got 2 premierships because of the players around him. If the ungrateful bugger wants to go and chase coin, let him go and get found out and watch him come crawling back

Barry Pilmore must have seen something in him to play him in A grade in the first place.
Probably not fair to judge Jimmy on 'a rumour' that's been put up here, until and if it becomes fact.
As most Willunga juniors are brought up with total loyalty to their club and do stay.

I heard that Jimmy wont play at wilunga for anything less then 500 a game. Last year at willunga the demons were only paying him a dollar for every kilo he weighed, and he said he just had enough of being paid 35 dollars a game.

sounds a bit stupid this kid.. who is he anyway, never heard of him.

dosnt he play B grade??

not knockin him, just thought he played mainly B's?

He didn't miss an A grade game in 2008. One of the young lads that has been given a real chance, and has taken it with both hands. I stood Jimmy for a half this season while he was at Half forward, he was very quiet (no thanks to me), big red moved him to the wing and must have given him a rev up at half time because he came out and played a blinder of a second half an ended up in their best. The kid can play and i think Bazza has a real soft spot for him.

Ok we are back talking rubbish again. Surely the idea of Toone leaving is all a big joke. Some people think that footy owes them something, but thats not the case. With 2 premierships under his belt (at 18), Jimmy is now in debt to the Willunga Football Club to the tune of about 10 years service!

I also heard that young feno has signed, which i think was always going to be the case, he's a great young bloke with many of his friends at Mclaren. Great to have him back on board!!
Don't know about Backy though, might find out tonight after a little get together at the club.

Willunga recruit a player and lose 2 good local kids - doesn't make sense? It maybe just starting to unravel.

I doubt willunga will lose either of them.

Unravel?
