Would be disappointing if you're on the money Zander Carrol. Ive spoken with Alex a bit the past week and hes undecided but my mail from him is he's going to make his decision after the new year.

Theres a MASSIVE opportunity for them to be the next phase of success the club has and the pair of them along with a few others will have a big say in the future of the club. Jimmys already got 2 A grade flags to his name and hes 18 years old!!!! If he takes off now he wont be a better footballer for it!

Very silly decision if either leave but in the end their decision and best of luck if they do.

2 A grade flags at 18 and thinking about leaving?? Sounds crazy!
Have any coaches set out a recommended pre x-mas training program at all?

If my mail is correct I believe Williamson is considering a move to Nairne.

Add 2
David Hams's and 3 Mitch Portlocks to any current GSFL list and they would play finals

Especially Willunga!

Willunga recruit a player and lose 2 good local kids - doesn't make sense? It maybe just starting to unravel.

Williamson has trained up in the hills this year but not sure what his plans are. Genuine athlete though. From what i've seen and heard he would be an asset to any club if they would just give him a chance. Toone is a silky young player who has been given that chance. best of luck to the lads!

Sounds like you know a bit more about these boys than most of us Beneath Clouds. I think Alex is a great proposition but in our backline this year im not sure where at full strength you would have played him. He was certainly in the mix down there but in the end he was competing for spots with 3 Southern Districts players and a 225 game veteran who is a star. With some changes about the place there will be openings, up to him whether he gets on board and pushes that extra bit to get there.

Alexs time will come and he learnt a lot this year and will continue to next year. Best of luck to him if he goes up to the cold, wet Hills footy and tries to develop his game but i personally cant see how he will be better for it.

The bloke should quit footy and try out for the olympic decathlon! back in the south days he could run the 100 in 10 seconds, jump like he had a portable trampoline with him and bench press my extended family. London 2012 Williamson!!!

I know first hand that Alex is keen to try and make some history with the demons in 2009. Only trainin in the hills to get a headstart before christmas. Would have to be clinically insane to turn down a spot on the demons halfback line.

You're right HFTB, hes young but once again the challenge has been set for him, up to him whether he takes it. He knows what he needs to work on, we all have our deficiencies and will certainly be in Barrys thoughts for 2009 and beyond.

A knee niggle that hes had fixed in the off season and is 100% again.

Keep an eye on the younger Williamson. kid must be only be 15 or 16 but could easily keep his head at senior level if the demons gave him a chance. Just one of the many young talented footballers in the association.
